I enjoyed reading something that was not just sex and built some character around the biggest shame in American history - the destruction of the Native American's culture. Scalping was introduced by the invading settlers, so using it against the Crow showed the depth things had sunk to. Loved some of the eroticism that contrasted with the barbarity of the skirmishes.
