"I know what you mean. But I think we can manage to have some more adventures. I have some more ideas."

"I do to," she said as she reached out and lightly pinched me on the butt. We started laughing over again.

All the way down the mountain, we kept up a lively conversation. I think we could both feel that something was different now, though. We both knew where we stood and could be even more at ease with each other. We weren't two people trying to reach out and form a connection anymore because we'd already crossed that tenuous gap. I was pretty sure we would manage to have several more adventures by ourselves up in mountains of Northern Italy.

Thank you for reading. This is my first ever submission, so feedback is welcome. If this first effort is well received, there is more to come for these two.

LOVE AMONG THE RUINS--AND ROCKS

Wonderful storytelling. Reminded me of when I backpacked Europe in my younger days. I too was wagging way too much. And the location reminded me of the latter days in the novel A FAREWELL TO ARMS.

Very Nice 5 stars

I don't think it's really a Romance, but it sure could be with a follow up chapter or two.
