Papawtoo43 I think you missed the part that said "400 to 450 POUNDS of gold" instead of "450 ounces of gold". But hay, this is fiction, the author can make the value of gold whatever he wants it to be in the time line that he was is writing about. I liked the story and kinda wish that part about the Indians and whites getting along and no Civil War was true. Great story!
