If you would just write this in third person, all the endless and disruptive POV changes (sometimes way too close together) wouldn't have to happen. It would flow so much better with that change.

I have read countless stories on this site for years , its very rare for me to make a public comment , your story struck a chord with me , you may find this hard to believe you you just discribed my own life story , admittedly it was not so loving as your story but we were both adopted at a very young age and never knew about each other until we were in our 20s and we had met a couple of years before at a mutual friends and thats how we ended up together , until the day i met someone who new our parents and told me the truth about my then girlfriend . but your story is how i would have loved mine to have ended up . but alas not to be
