The technology he used and the end goal he aimed for reminded me that one Spider-Man comic:

“You could cure cancer in people with this tech!”

“But I don’t want to cure cancer! I want to -turn people into dinosaurs- make pretty girls wet themselves!”

Other than that (and it’s a joke, not an issue), a well written story!
