Never noticed this story before. Not 100% original — I’ve read many stories with a similar setup. This one is incomplete and needs an ending. Best ending would have MC grow a pair and, upon finding Paul and wife in bed once again, he shoots Paul while in the act and he slumps dead on top of the wife, but the bullet (or bullets) go throw Paul and hit Deb. As she lays dying, she asks her husband for forgiveness, which he does not give. He does try to comfort her in her last moments, but also reminds her why she is on the floor dying, and if she had never taken up with Paul, they would be going to dinner and a movie right now instead.
