You do have a good chance to tighten up the story by mentioning that he had the door closed while he was working on his computer and that he had been at work the night when his wife thinks he was with the other woman, etc. The hubby can leave a note as he moves out telling her that she was completely wrong about him and that he has left because she so totally did not trust him and cheated on him. She can read it and than call her lover to confirm that he had had another woman there the other night. Now she begins a quest to find hubby and had to undergo a variety of trials to try to make up. Hubby still can dump her once she finds him.
