This is a fairytale, perfect to listen to at bedtime. I wrote it last year for a man I got to know well online, but he ghosted me before I finished it. The funny thing is I can't remember his real name. I can only remember my name for him -- my Satyr, and I was his nymph.

Above my bed hangs a tapestry of a
Luxuriant woodland tree with
Small, bright lights
Twinkling mysteriously amongst its
Dark, twisted branches and
Verdant leaves.
The wall hanging
Provides an
Enchanted doorway between
Two disparate worlds;
My lover, my Satyr, holds the
Key to open the passage, and he
Watches me, his nymph, through the
Myriad leaves of the
Large tree in the
Darkest hours of the night.
Sometimes when I'm dreaming and
Restlessly tossing and turning, he
Reaches through the
Magical portal and
Carries me to the
Wild forest where he lives:
Tonight is one such night...
