And the pressure mounts on Don. Everytime I think it cannot get worse you seem to write another twister and notch up the tension again. Well done,
I considered deleting your post, but I'll instead respond to some things in it that serve my purpose, to wit:
"Global Party Survey" - sounds United Nations-'ish', and therefore Socialist-'ish' and anti-American-'ish'. Anything with the world 'Global' in it usually sets off alarm bells. More on this below.
"experts" - there is a reason I italicize "experts" in my stories. The Media and the Left (but there I repeat myself) use the word "experts" to attempt to give legitimacy to their agenda-driven narratives. For example: "Experts say Climate Change is real!", and then they attack anyone who dares disagree with the "experts". I usually find these kinds of "experts" to be agenda driven and/or have their heads up their fourth points of contact. P.S. "the science" is the new "experts"... argue against "the science", and be crucified (literally, if not figuratively).
"170 different nations" - this is the line that pissed me off. Let me be clear: I don't give a GOD DAMN what other nations think about America or our form of Government. I believe in American Exceptionalism and I am 'not ashamed' to be an 'America-first'er. I could not care less what ANY other country thinks of us, and especially Red China, Iran, and Venezuela. Ergo, I don't give a damn about this crap survey of yours.
Also, you say on your scale that 'lower is better', but that once again is your opinion. If the Democrat Party in America is '2.25', I don't want to be anywhere near '2.25'. And I dispute your assertion that the German CSU is truly Conservative... just like the British Tories, they're just 'less Leftist' than the other parties in semi-Socialist Europe.
Therefore, TheDeepThinker, I've decided that if you post any more excrement like this 'Global Party Survey', I will just delete it. Go post it on the CNN website, but you won't be using the comments to MY stories to spread Socialist $#!+.
The Global Party Survey was a 2019 survey of 1,861 experts on political parties from 170 different nations. Participants were asked to use data to evaluate dozens of national parties on their commitment to liberal democracy. On a scale from 0 to 10 (lower is better), the global mean was about 2.5 points. The American Democratic Party scored 2.25 (slightly better). The American Republican Party scored 8.3, placing it close to such esteemed company as Turkey's AKP. And before the accusations of bias fly, Germany's conservative CSU scores better than either at 2.1 points.
So unless you want to claim there is a conspiracy involving nearly 2000 different people, from over 150 different countries, who are biased against the American Republican Party in particular (but not Conservative parties in general), one of America's political parties has a problem with democracy and the other does not.
Always love your stories. There are a few options with the whole Cindy situation. I feel the whole situation with Tim is nothing like what we’ve seen with Don. Will Callie go back west? Will Tim some how be killed off during a riot, maybe sacrificing himself to save Callie? Will Tim want more and Cindy realize that she wants to stay with Callie and he goes to the dark side?
Just a few thoughts running in my head
I wish I had your imagination and ability to write. You are without a doubt, are one of the best writers on this site.
brownmob - I was angry when I saw that page 5 was that one-liner. It's happened to me before. I can't tell when it's going to happen, or I would've done something to prevent it. Sorry about that; I'm certainly not trying to be cruel to the readers.
JayDiver - "smoke 'em if you got 'em"... I better use my First Amendment rights while I can, since IMHO we wont have those rights much longer. And I'm not kidding about that. Yeah, I'm surprised I haven't been 'canceled' yet. I am grateful that Literotica has allowed me to publish my stories.
Rights.
I voted five stars for this story simply for the authors courage in exercising his First Amendment rights.
The next chapter has been submitted, and hopefully will be published soon.
