I almost didn’t read this because I thought it was a gay BDSM story, here in the UK Adrian is a masculine name, the female variant is Adrienne.

There are a lot of BDSM elements in this story but I’m not actually convinced that it is BDSM? It’s obvious that initially the whole thing is a complete surprise but from his perspective he flat out confirms that he’s not interested in BDSM. He blatantly doesn’t care about her wants and needs or her welfare. They never have a sensible conversation about limits.

“I didn't have to please anyone…. / … She was here to serve me. I was beginning to see that there was a lot to like about this arrangement.”

“I didn't have to please her. I only had to please me. I did what I wanted.”

That said he developed feelings for her rapidly and he was giving her those oh so important orgasms that the vast majority of the adult population are interested in. Weirdly/ luckily she didn’t get pregnant despite unprotected sex, how irresponsible is it that he didn’t care? She had concerns when he explained the possibility of other men BUT they’re both students and you can’t really get worse timing than a pregnancy whilst at university but neither of them seemed concerned??

The bit about meeting her mother and her wanting to wear clothes was a typical dominant mind fuck and a cutesy way to propose. As fictional relationships go this one’s a bit hit and miss, If anything I think this falls into the Romance or maybe Exhibitionist/ Voyeur category because for him the BDSM is an afterthought even then, something he does for her not himself.

Overall it’s well written and his perspective is clearly understood. I read your bio and absolutely love your sense of humour!
