---------------------------

Like everyone across American, social distancing changed my life.

A year ago, I had the world by the balls. An amazing, smart, funny and beautiful wife. Family that cared about me. Great paying job with continued career potential. Friends I'd trust with my life.

So how do you start to doubt yourself and everything going on in your life? You discover that something you thought was solid, isn't nearly as solid as you thought.

As the fear of covid started to spread, each state decided to take its own view of how to deal with the crisis. With the federal government not interested in doing a national shutdown, the states were left to their own choice. That this is how the Constitution enabled the states to hold the power instead of the federal government is an interesting civics class debate for those of you who also have your MD in covid studies and your Juris Doctor in Constitutional law from Google University.

Shocking exactly no one over the age of 18, each state went along political lines.

Those that trend liberal started to shut down, while those that lean conservative kept everything open, the number of cases be damned.

Living in a state with an identity crisis, we got to enjoy the governor shutting everything down, while the state legislature and judges tried to force them back open. But until that happens, everything is closed and gatherings of more than 20 are banned unless you decided to protest, then you are somehow invincible. If you can figure out any of this logic you are a better man than me.

With both of us being deemed unessential by our fearless governor and health advisor, we set up our new work offices in our previously established home office, which required almost no actual physical changes thankfully, just the scheduling aspects of deconflicting our suddenly unimportant work with the requirements of 412 different online meetings and assignments due for the kids.

Two of the three kids had active teachers who assigned work. But of course, one of them had to have the lazy teacher that gave them almost no assignments and basically took the rest of the semester off.

Strict adherence to scheduling became the name of the game as we deconflicted teaching, parenting and work responsibilities to the best of our abilities. Most of the time one of us would teach/parent while the other did their work and then we would trade off.

Friday afternoons became the golden work time as the kids finished off their projects for the week. Once done with the schooling they could be plug into their digital device of choice, allowing for both us to work at the same time with minimal distraction.

That is how Sara and I came to have the rare moment in the office together. She's a mid-level manager who is responsible for about ten people that she has to talk to on a fairly regular basis. Fridays were their weekly close out Zoom meeting to make sure everyone knew what was going on and were ready for the next week.

It was one of the typical meetings. Those personnel meeting quotas were congratulated, while those behind the curve were either gently inspired if this was a random occurrence, or told to stay around after the meeting for a one on one counseling session that meant you were in serious trouble.

Andrea was one of Sara's less than star performers, which is understandable when you realize that Andrea was hired for her looks and not her mental acuity. Back when you could meet people in person having a gorgeous woman selling your product made complete business sense. Guys get distracted by her looks and maybe decide to place an order to see her again. Stupid, but it works.

That skill set becomes undervalued when you aren't in person and you need to actually know what you are talking about to make the sale. Sex is much harder to sell over video than in close proximity. Selling from a distance was beyond

Andrea's skill set, so she was always on the naughty list and today was no exception.

I smiled as I listened to Sara give Andrea the disappointed speech. Despite Sara's attempt at positiveness, everyone on the Zoom meeting knew Andrea was in trouble when Sara told her to wait around after the meeting was over.

"Sure Sara, I'll wait afterwards," Andrea frustratingly responded.

That should have ended it right there. But it has happened to most of us at one time or another after we are done talking on a video teleconference:

We forget to mute.

I don't know who she was talking to, maybe herself for all we know, but Andrea just let her liberal feelings go, unaware that she wasn't hidden by the shield of the mute button.

"Fucking self-righteous bitch is going to yell at me for messing up a little bit. I wonder how full of herself she would be if I told her husband she fucked Corey at the last conference."

My head immediately shot up from my computer and looked at my previously loving wife as her eyes grew wide and her mouth opened.

You could hear the members of her team yelling, "Oh my god," "Your mic is on Andrea," "Shut up," and even a "Holy shit, no way."

I got up from my desk and walked in front of the Zoom. "Thank you Andrea, if it is possible, I'd like to talk to you more about my wife's relationship with Corey."

I gave her my cell number and email address while Sara just continued to sit there in complete shock about what had happened.

"You also probably don't need to wait around after the call, I think Sara has other issues right now to deal with so maybe she'll talk to you later"

"John, I ..."

"Before you even start down this trail of complete bullshit let's take this to the bedroom so we can discuss this while you pack."

I could see the look of confusion as she looked at her computer and then she turned and followed me as I left the office.

Arriving in the bedroom I reached under the bed and pulled her suitcase out.

"Pack what you need to live at your parents' house for the foreseeable future."

"John, I'm so sorry. It was a one-time thing, I was celebrating and drinking too much after I got the award for saving the Collins deal. I swear it was only once and I've felt so guilty about it since."

"Sure, you were, that is why you told me as soon as you got home. Pack your shit and go to your parents. I'll even call them to let them know you are coming."

Pulling out my phone I called my Father-in-Law with him picking up on the second ring.

"Wasn't it great how bad Brady sucked last weekend? Best day I've had in years"

"That was fun to watch but unfortunately, I have a serious issue that I need your help with. It seems your daughter has a boyfriend that I've just been made aware of. While I figure out what's going on would it be possible for her to stay with you and Jackie for a while?"

"This isn't funny, John."

"No, Tom, and I wish I were joking. You can talk to her yourself."

I handed the phone to Sara who looked at it as if it was a hand grenade.

Slowly she put it up to her ear, "I'm sorry, Daddy".

While Jackie was actually a retired English teacher, Tom clearly had a grasp of curse words that was enviable a Navy Chief Petty Officer. While he chewed Sara out, I continued to pack her clothes, then grabbing the smaller case I moved on to her hygiene products.

After a few minutes she handed me the phone while the tears fell down her face.

"So, would it be ok if she stayed over for a while?"

"Of course, maybe I can beat some common sense into the moron."

After a pause he continued, "How are you so calm right now. Are you all right?"

"I'm just in shock right now. What I'm really concerned with is that when it wears off, I'm going to be pissed and possibly violent with her and I think it is best for everyone if she isn't here for a few days until I can figure out what happened.

Thanks for taking her, she'll be on her way to you shortly."

Ending the call, I turned to Sara.

"I'm going to put this in your car, go tell the kids that you'll be gone for a couple of days. Let me make my position very clear at this point; you lie, you are gone. If this is a long running affair, you are gone. It is only because of the kids that I'm not filing for divorce today, so you have very little time to unfuck yourself before I call Dave for a recommendation for a divorce attorney."

She was outside shortly after I finished putting the bags away in the trunk of her car.

The anguish and guilt on her face clearly showed how remorseful she was but we weren't close to being the happy couple we were thirty minutes ago.

Shit.

It felt like my life was a complete sham and it happened quicker than I could get a pizza delivered.

I understood that I was in shock and that I'd been on autopilot since Andrea ran her mouth.

I sent a quick text to my buddies Bill and Ted telling them that I wasn't going to be able to make it over tonight.

The responses came back quickly.

"Whipped bitch."

"She's got you by the balls."

Grabbing a beer, I shot my response back, "I wish it was only my balls she was playing with."

After a second, I realized what I had texted and had a good idea what was coming.

I called the neighbors and asked if it would be possible for the kids to have a sleep over. I got everyone ready to go with their stuff and managed to get back without having a substantial discussion with the neighbors.

Shortly after I got back home, Bill showed up at my door. As I opened up the door to let him in, Ted drove up in his piece of shit pickup.

With a sense of purpose that can only be mustered by someone who is both highly motivated and clueless, we watched in awe as Ted reached into the back of his truck and grabbed out a shovel, trash bags and limes.

Bill and I just looked at each other, both of us clearly confused as Ted walked towards us.

As he got closer Ted spoke, "We're going to kill the bitch, right?"

Bill busted out of laughing and I couldn't help it either. He just looked completely ridiculous.

Bill asked him what we both wanted to, "What are you going to do with the limes, make her a margarita and give her alcohol poisoning?"

"No dumbass, I saw this documentary on YouTube about this Mexican cartel guy who used limes to get rid of bodies of dead people."

"That's lye you idiot."

"I ain't lyin about it! I saw it on YouTube. He dumped the bodies in lime and it got rid of the skin and flesh and stuff."

There are few things better to get your mind off of something awful than listening to two people have a stupid argument. But since Ted had openly declared his intent to murder Sara, it was best if I got these two inside before the cops came up and I had to explain Ted's supply choices.

"He isn't calling you a liar buddy, he is trying to tell you that it is lye, not limes. It works kind of like acid and decomposes the body like you said"

"Really?"

"Afraid so, let's go inside and I'll tell guys what happened."

As Ted made lime margaritas in the blender, I went over the story of how I had found out and what I done so far.

Ted stopped the blender for a second so he could speak, "So this other chick just ran her mouth and you heard it all. Man. That really sucks. Does the other chick have big tits or something? Maybe you can talk to her and then fuck her for revenge?"

"I saw her last year at the Christmas party and she is pretty hot. But I don't want to stoop to Sara's level just yet."

Bill took a margarita and made a noise of approval after sipping, "Lyme disease is right though, you've got to talk to the big tits chick and see what she knows about Sara's cheating. You need to know what you are up against before you go on the warpath and you're more likely to hear it from one of Sara's enemies than you are her friends. If it was a one-time thing then it's a hard choice, if it's an ongoing affair then it's pretty easy and she's gone."

Taking a sip of margarita, I shook my head appreciatively at how well the limes had transitioned from potential criminal act to a tasty beverage.

"Ok, so I figure out what when on then, go from there. Sounds like a good idea."

"And if it is multiple times, you fuck the chick with the big tits."

I just laughed, "Yup, good plan."

After waking up the next morning with a headache, I took a few aspirin and began my search for information. It was easy to find Andrea's phone number in Sara's home office, so I gave Andrea a call and asked her to meet me to talk. After apologizing, she agreed to meet me for coffee.

Coffee with Andrea was informative and told me what I had hoped to hear. Sara had been excited and not paying attention to what she drinking and she had too much. Andrea had seen Sara crying while doing the walk of shame the next morning out of Corey's room.

Andrea actually stuck up for Sara which kind of surprised me. She told me how much Sara loved me how embarrassed and sorry she felt about accidently telling me during the meeting.

"I actually appreciate you telling me what happened. I'd rather know the ugly truth as opposed to the pretty lies."

I paid for lunch and headed home.

After picking up the kids and thanking the neighbors profusely, we went across the yard back home.

While I kept the kids entertained, I tried to think of what I wanted. While I was frustrated and pissed about what she did, until then she'd been an amazing wife and mother. As if to validate her good qualities Sara called during lunch.

"I know you hate me, but I just wanted to call and make sure you and the kids are alright."

"So not only am I an awful husband, but I'm also an incompetent parent?"

"No, no, that's not what I meant at all. Peggy sent me a text telling me to have fun last night while she watched the kids I know what I did cause you a lot of pain and I just wanted to make sure you were ok."

"So, did you have fun last night? Enjoy some naughty time with another of your lovers?"

Sometimes I can't control my mouth, and being petty at this point seemed to make me feel slightly better knowing that I caused her just a little pain. And yes, I'm being childish but she started it.

"I spent the evening crying while telling my parents what a complete moron I was, and how I'm probably going to end up the weird divorced lady with hundreds of cats."

I can't help but smile knowing how much she despises cats.

"I'll never be able to tell you how sorry I am for what I did to us. Please give me a chance to show you that I'm more than just the bitch who did something really stupid."

I thought for a second. I had the outline in my mind what I wanted to do. At least with her.

"Come back home tomorrow in the afternoon. We'll talk and figure out what we are

going to do."

"Really?"

"Yes. But I need to you to write down everything you did with him and anyone else you've been with. I need to know the scope of the problem I'm dealing with. So, if you have any other skeletons you've been hiding, you better let me know what they are in your letter."

"Ok. Do you want me to email it or bring it over with me?"

"I'll bring it over with me. An email doesn't seem to be enough. Either is a letter."

The kids were oblivious to any issues going on, and accepted that Sara was at her parents' house without hesitation. A pizza and binge watching tv got the kids through the night.

Next morning after breakfast the kids and I went for a hike together. As we walked along, I asked them random questions about school and sports.

Towards the end of the walk I asked them each what they loved about their mom.

"I love that she reads me stories before bed. I like your stories daddy, but mommy is so much better at it," Susie said.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks, I guess second place isn't that bad."

I moved on to Janie, "What about you?"

"When she helps me with my math homework so I get the answers right."

"Are you saying I stink at teaching math?"

"No dad, she just teaches it a bit different so it is easier for me to understand than when you do it, since we kind of think alike."

"That's fair, what about you, Will?"

"I love how she takes care of us. Not just the picking up and cleaning the house that you both do, but the small stuff she does. The way she makes sure that we know that she loves us even if we make a huge mistake."

"Like when someone decided to use her makeup as warpaint?"

"Yea, she was upset but I still knew she loved me."

Lost in my own thoughts for a moment I simply replied, "We're pretty lucky to have her."

By the time we got back home, Sara was already there. The kids each gave her a hug and then disappeared.

Sara has always been the most beautiful women I've ever seen, but she clearly was struggling with what was going on and she looked awful.

I walked up and wrapped my arms around her and gave her a hug. Yes, I was mad at her. Yes, she had brought it on herself. This wasn't about forgiving her for her mistake, this was just letting her feel some comfort in an uncomfortable situation.

I let go and stepped back. "Let's talk outside."

As we sat down on the chairs on the patio, she put the letter down in front of me. I took the envelope, opened it and began reading her letter.

She went into more detail than I really wanted to hear as she wrote about all of the guys she had been with before we met as well. She told me about what happened with Corey in as much detail as she remembered. She said how embarrassed she was for her own stupidity. He didn't rape her; he just took advantage of the situation when they had both been drinking.

She owned up to her failure. She offered to take a polygraph but I told her not to as it would be a waste of time. If she lied, we were done. She knew it, I knew it.

We talked until dinner and then again afterwards. We agreed that marriage counseling might may not be a bad idea. We were going to treat the counseling like a marriage tune-up. We'd already had the accident that had damaged our marriage, but we needed to make sure that everything was running smooth to ensure that nothing like it happened again. Preventive maintenance can sometimes save you from the accidents.

Luckily, with social distancing Sara didn't have to see her coworkers face to face, so her embarrassment was much less than if she had to go in for work. She did call her boss on Monday and told him what happened between her and Corey and how it had come out in the Zoom meeting. Corey wasn't her supervisor so there wasn't anything against company policy for what they did.

We both went about our day, switching back and forth between work and parenting until the day was over and we could finally pass out from exhaustion.

The next morning, I woke up with my shorts pulled slightly down and with the lovely feeling of Sara's mouth on my cock. Her wet tongue on the tip slowly got the desired rise out of me as she started to stroke me as she teased.

Wrapping my hands in her hair I pulled her mouth deeper onto my cock. As she looked into my eyes and smiled, I started to buck my hips as I started to fuck her mouth. Between the feel of her lips on my cock, and the noise of my cock going in and out of her mouth, I was at full length pretty quickly.

I pulled out of her mouth and teased her tongue with my cock. While she struggled to get my cock back in her mouth, she begged, "Fuck my ass, Baby, take me hard."

"Would you like that? Would you like to feel my cock inside you while I spank you as well?"

She was able to reach the tip and put me in her mouth. After giving her a few free moments, I pulled her back off my cock.

"Yes, I want you me. Use my ass, Baby"

Making sure my cock was out of her mouth, I firmly nudged her onto her back and then climbed on top of her, my body weight weighing her down.
