This story was a bit of a stretch, perhaps a bit contrived in places, but the action moved along well, and it kept my interest. I would have appreciated a bit more dialogue amongst the characters than just summarizing things after the fact.

It's always amusing to me how gay and lesbian stories always have to compare themselves to Man-Woman, to sort of justify and prove themselves. To me there's nothing distinct or unique about so-called homosexuality. At best, it's barely 1 or 2 parts of the totality of female-male. But I think that's the point. The polarites are off.

I do have one small gripe with the male-bashing, but if you don't do it in every story, it isn't cliche. I've written lots of lez-fiction where the guys were nice guys and I've written some where the guys were creeps. I've written some where guys don't factor into the story at all. You have skill, the story was nicely told and well-imagined and that is what counts.

There should be no such thing as sexual agression, either by guys that nature has programmed to "take the lead" or an 18-year-old female forcing herself on a mature married woman with calculated determination. Shame on you, babylez, does the name "bull dyke" strike a bell?

Male bashing? Not really...."it is, what it is" or "no harm, no foul". It's a lovely story, with a beautiful ending.albeit, 'predictible'. By the way, you're a very good writer.

The story-line, while not original, was nevertheless, plausible and well written. Actually in this day and age, it's hard to find a truly original story. This makes the telling--or its presentation--extremely important.

about a cold hearted cunt who deliberately broke up a family, using and leading on a boy to get to his mom. Mom was no better, cheating on her husband with the girl her son believed was his girlfriend. Talk about betrayal. Sure, her husband was an asshole, and was cheating also, but neither knew this at the start. A wonderfull romantic story about 2 cold hearted cunts getting what they want w/o regard to their previous commitments and promises. Truely a relationship based on trust and honesty. Would have been better placed in the slut wives category.

As I was reading this story I wondered what I would have done if I'd inherited millions at eighteen. Probably gone totally mad! Would I have been prepared to give my whole life to someone twenty-odd years older? Doubtful. Would I have been so skilful sexually. Very unlikely. Your Erin was a remarkably mature young woman, certainly a very unusual late teenager. Still, when you're reading a story, suspension of disbelief is very important and so I suspended my disbelief. This is a very well written tale with a nice slow build-up, which is just the way it should be. Too many stories on this site just go straight into the action without any proper plot or characterisation, so it's a pleasure to come across another of the site's few authors who believe in telling a story properly and who can write. Five stars (and worth every one)!

This was a lovely read and I did enjoy the romance that the woman shared! But why is it that in every story the women are all multi millionairesses with high powered jobs and look like goddesses? This story was well written, slow development which added to the suspense and the seduction was erotic. To say that Erin was too young and inexperienced in love and lovemaking is erroneous at best. I have experienced younger girls who amazed me with their seductive methods and lovemaking. Much better all around and several captured me for many years. Loved the romance and the ending. A sequel could be in order describing Erin slowly gaining control over her lover and in some romantic cases, dominating her to do what she wanted, when she wanted and how she wanted. That could be a hot addition, and I know you could accomplish a very hot, steamy sequel.

Keep writing as this is one of the best.

but couldn't figure out the detailed back story. Did we need to know that much about the tragic tale of Erin's background. If the author wanted to free Erin of her family obligations and provide a basis for Erin's independence, she could have done so without the necessity of such details as the suicide note. To this reader Erin's lack of grieving over this tragedy made her seem a bit hard and so it was difficult for me to accept Cheryl's instantaneous attraction to her.

I also didn't see much seducing. Cheryl happily gave in each time Erin upped ante. Albeit, sometimes it might take until the second kiss, but she didn't play remotely hard to get. If, on the second meeting, Mom's making out with her son's girlfriend in the kitchen while hubby and son watch television in the next room, she ain't playing hard to get.

To those commentators who complained about "man bashing":

If this story was about a teenage boy seducing a MILF, and he found out her husband was cheating on her, and used it to get her to leave him, would you call that "man bashing", too? I doubt it. So, why is it different because the protagonist in this story is a lesbian? Talk about a sexist, homophobic, double standard. It's nothing but a simple (if a bit cliched), plot device, no matter the various characters' genders.

First and foremost, belated condolences for the loss of your eternal helpmeet. Those who are blessed in finding their true soul mate, and then have the courage to move on that knowledge have my praise regardless of anybody else's feelings about their relationship. The only limit on this would be if one were stalking another and simply using them -- that is sad and should never be tolerated. Other than that, it is the couple's feelings that count, not those jerks on the sidelines.

I met my mate by accident, and within 2 or 3 days knew it was forever. She was tall, I am small, and she could easily carry me anywhere. Being 2 females we have never had any kids, but have grown old together with the feelings simply growing more every day we live. Falling in love is an apt description. For us it was a bottomless pit, with the falling for each other never stopping. Fortunately, we are more accepted today than we were 4 decades ago. By the way, I was the primary breadwinner with my salary easily allowing her to become the stay at home homemaker. Even with no kids she is involved with the schools, the homeowners association, various church causes. For the last 3 years we swapped with me retiring and her going back to work as a secretary.This allows her to explore life outside of the home, and to eat my rotten cooking.

Anyway, I loved this story and picture Cheryl and Erin living a long happy life together. Perhaps they will become world travelers, with Erin serving on the Doctors without Borders cause, and Cheryl using her incredible mind to help women who are victimized by their own cultures. The only sad horizon is the inevitable chasm in Erin's life when Cheryl passes on. This will be a 9.9 shaker compared with a 5.0 of her Mom's and brothers passing, or the 2.0 of her father leaving. I found no man hating, just a potential story I have seen numerous times in the community I live in. When you are under 5' tall, where a B cup, and are a lesbian many men seem to want to target you. I simply met them with logical statements to either blow them off, or get them back on topic if it was in the office.

Again, I hope you have survived and healed the terrible loss you face.

This is some seriously fine writing. A good balance between the story, character development, and good raw sex scenes. I think I enjoy best when the uncertainties of their situations get in the way of their attraction. In future stories I would enjoy more of the "What am I doing?" vibe, and the answers in a very personal way to that question. The age difference is good. Cheryl being a successful married woman is very good. Now I'm curious to know if you have other stories with two well-married friends, or even enemies, who go beyond that, maybe not always with a happy ending.
