What happened to the kid?

In answer to your question, there was no kid.

I usually love your work but this one fell well short of your normal standard. It was mostly a narrative driven outline of what should be a longer, more in depth, story. 3.2*

Just words was right. You have sex with somebody that’s drunk.. She complains you go to jail. Nowadays, you don’t pull that crap. And Buster2you is also right there out there everywhere.

This was non-consensual as she was drunk, i.e. she was raped. Yes, she put herself into a vulnerable position but "do not pass Go, go directly to divorce" seems highly excessive. As for the rape story - 4 people can keep a secret if 3 of them are dead.

She never connected that it was her alcohol level that opened her doors and clouded her judgement? If she made that plea to abstain from all future booze/wine that Eddie might give her some level of leniency?

For Eddie, he lost his confidence in understanding women hence could not or would slowly build trust in the offending sex if he never hooked up with a dominant lady.

Eddie should have pressured Vic to terminate the pregnancy or if Vic was even slightly remorseful she cheated, she would have terminated before Eddie ever found out she was pregnant

I mean, she wouldn’t be totally lying about the sexual assault. He deliberately got her drunk and kept sober, then he kept groping at her after she told him to stop. That’s pretty much the definition of sexual assault.

Low-mid story. Felt like I was reading an insurance report. Where was the dialogue? The descriptions? The metaphors? The prose? Please work on "showing" us what's happening instead of just flat out telling us what happened.

There was no kid between Vic and Eddie, but it's likely her parents are helping take care of the kid she has with Darren

Yup. They said she got pregnant. No mention if her keeping it. I can't think if many people that would realistically keep a child brought under those circumstances. I know these stories are ripe with undertones of abortions being wrong. But that wishful thinking won't stop the real world.

Matt, she was pregnant, with no mention of an abortion, it's safe to assume there was a kid.

At no point in this short story was there any mention of abortion or miscarriage so there must be a kid. Mason was a "breeding stud" and got the slut pregnant. There was also no mention of adoption. I really appreciate the story and it's portrayal of a husband unwilling to take any shit whatsoever.

Overall a decent but not great story. The biggest part: the title. I don't see at all where Peggy's supposedly big mouth was the cause of anything. But Vic's over-drinking leading her to fuck Mason's the thing. If she hadn't had that much to drink, he wouldn't have had him bring her home & the result. All Peggy did was listen to her talking about her private sexual life with her husband & make a comment, of which Mason overheard & played up to. That wouldn't have happened (not the talk but Mason's "game") if they, especially Vic, didn't go overboard with drinking. 3 stars. Bob

It sounds like the husband stayed with the pregnant slut during her pregnancy and maybe took responsibility for the bastard bitch. That's where the story dies for me. No man would have done that knowing it wasn't his and why wouldn't she take plan B the next day or get an abortion?

why the epilogue the story read like an essay even the epilogue there was no separation between them u didnt need to type the word epilogue. void of emotion

It seems that every story uses alcohol, or drugs, to instigate the wrongdoing. How about a story that doesn't rely on either. People are just plain stupid when they drink.

It seems you have met your goal, a short story with the expected ending after revealing the consequences of the bitch and her paramour

I gave 3 but it should have been 4. I prefer if wife is to be punished that she at least be unlikeable. In this case she was to me at least a sympathetic character so I would have preferred a longer story with more flesh on the bones.

It would of been much better for Vic to turn to Peggy and say "Bitch! That was a fucking secret! What the fuck is wrong with you?"

It WAS OK, but I thought that Peggy should have paid some kind of price, and I don't think there was a real resolution about the baby...

...Vic should have had Madon found so she could get support from him, if she had the baby.
