A sweet love poem

A nice concept on aspiration – in wanting and not wanting to be someone or something.

The repetitive rhyming works here I think (it can often be too heavy) given the nature and structure of the poem.

PS I think we can guess who Rick is on the site.

...For I knew it probably wouldn't be judged well, but then it was written with a single purpose in mind and fulfilled that purpose well ;) It was also written for our friends to find, I Don't Wanna Be Me is a common enough mantra for them. Thanks for your friendly words. Cheers! --- Josie

I loved this poem because it came straight from the heart. I can feel the passion you have for Rick and find it so wonderful that you expressed it with just the right words I hope that you two find many happy moments together.
