My heart is blistered
What can I do?
Do you want me to pretend I'm okay, or
Do I tell you the truth?
Want to know how badly I am truly aching inside
Or should I be your plastic doll
Lacking emotions, a smile that fails to touch my eyes
Do I admit that I cried, or
Will you become distant if I tried?
Are you the friend who is always there
When I need somebody to share my burdens?
Do you want my honesty
What makes me happy, what makes me mad, what makes me sad
Or would you rather I kept it to myself?
If I need you, would you come to the door and try to mend my scars
Or would you let me bleed in my lonely dark cave?
If I called you in the middle of the night, crying, and said words that nearly killed my pride
"I need you/ I'm so alone"
Would you tell me to get over myself, or
Would you come just to help me make it through the night?
My heart is blistered, and I
I don't know where to turn
