Today was a hard one,
With so much at stake,
The pressures of the world,
Threatening me to break,

So easy to worry,
Of parking or a lost shoe,
Not easy to keep up,
Life is in such a hurry,

Running so fast it hurts,
Yet never gaining my stride,
Responsibilites seem to blur,
Then the world opens wide,

Consuming all of me,
And taking all I've gained,
Becoming my enemy,
Then waking up and doing it all again.
