I am too deep to dive into.

Sandbars and reefs border my soul
  (and the undertow is fierce)
Smooth sailing is never an option here

You came by,
  disturbing my plane
mirroring your reflection upon my surface
leaving a wake through my waters,
    spreading...reverberating.
Thoughts, like driftwood, randomly float past

But my barnacled soul tethers to a mooring,
  trying to keep afloat
  bobbing just beneath the surface

Still waters do indeed run deep
