The signs are always there but we just don't want to see them.

Gutted love.

turning tear

the emotions and feelings were like gripping vines that grew in grasps and intertwined tightening, squeezing, till the lone tear fell. very good poetry, mi amiga

apt end

"before the other’s tears won’t let you dare try."

I was vaguely aware a ryme scheme was here, I had to go back and check, (GOOD!)

one small bone to pick "the other" italized, may be overstating it.

extra stanza breaking last line away - I like

Beautifully and introspectively written...

Like a song: lyrical and overflowing with emotion...

I heard a saddened, yet strong singer's voice crying those words. The all too familiar story is bellowed as if it's being told for the first time.

This work doesn't whisper, it truly sings!

Deep and heartwrenching

Lots of emotion, very soulful, and wonderful imagery... you could have people weeping with this.

Reading it brought a feeling of release... of just raw emotion, empathy... you don't always have to know a person's name to feel their heartbreak, even if the person isn't real.

This is of course to your credit. Very well done.

One Small Scene

Great economy of words resulting in greater impact on one very brief moment in a woman's life. And if never having heard of such a thing before, reading it here makes plain the pain is forever.

Thanks for the suggestion

A touching look at "the other woman," discovering her true position in his life. Talk about looking for love in all the wrong places! You fit it well with that line from your dream.

Been there!

So many do lie for a quick piece and outside "relationship". Most times, when it starts to turn serious, I've gotten skilled at conducting a background check; it usually ends in goodbye. Patricia
