First, the whole situation with the convention disgusts me, with her blatant lying to get him there, then ignoring him while running off with her friends, plus, it was never explained why she didn't come home till the NEXT DAY!

And then there was her anger at him for wanting to stick with the rules the agreed to. That didn't bode well for successfully navigating the "lifestyle".

I DID have to laugh at her anger at his "spying". As he said, if she wasn't doing anything she shouldn't, the spying would have been meaningless.

Okayyy, how do you come up with such a story??? It was a very good read, but you have to keep the BTB RAAC etc. mindsets out of the way when reading this.

No woman is worth all that, there are millions of other women in the world. It was smart of him to burn her out but who would want a woman that fucked every man she saw and lied about it for years. He ended up being a slut male, too. As I said, he should have dumper her after Dallas.

I think this is a well-written and interesting story. It is something different-outside the box. I actually couldn't stop reading it. I had to actually think about this tale.

I found it hard to believe that he took her back after what she did to him on their honeymoon trip to Dallas. The lying, disrespect, ditching him, giving herself to the old couple, etc. I know he loved her children but I still don't see how he could take her back. Then later on when she started to sneak around with the swap sites and her swap friends, he found out about it and still didn't leave.

The way that he dealt with her swinging fantasies was imaginative and quite entertaining-naturally he was a super lover.

I would hope that they will survive but I think the next time the urge to swing hits her, she will do it on the sly and not tell him. She was the one that wants all the excitement and she didn't like it when he enjoyed the excitement.

to address the subject of a cheater. I know, she was a swinger but aren't they just cheaters with permission. When you have a relationship or relations with someone other than your spouse it's cheating to some degree. It doesn't matter if you have your spouse's permission or just gave permission to yourself, it's outside the vows we speak at the wedding. I liked the ingenuity that went into this story and the efforts that he went to to save his marriage. I'm not sure, however, that she was worth him giving up his soul to save hers. She's burned out and now he likes the idea of other women. He is strong enough to withstand the temptation where she was not, but he shouldn't have had to compromise his morals to keep her. I question whether someone with her obvious problems was worth it. I know he loved the girls, but her example to them, if she hadn't of responded to the therapy would have been a disaster and she would have gotten worse and worse as they progressed into that way of life. But it was interesting and the man was by far not a wimp or a cuck.

And I really liked the reference to Eddie and the Cruisers, featuring Sal Amato.

by the end of the story considering how much as he hated the swinger lifestyle in the beginning. I'm not a big fan of loose moraled people, so this story was not too much to my liking. Also, her statement of being in a fog or being on autopilot was pretty shaky at best. Still five stars. On the one hand I want to say that it is still a favorite. Extremely well written. It has me totally engrossed. On the other hand it is too unrealistic. A lack of realism might be tolerated in a shorter work. In one of this length, I am not too sure it can be ignored. The conclusion is not supported by all that has gone before. Something that becomes increasingly apparent as the story progresses, and the author even hints at that in the very last few lines. His plan could not possibly work. One, because of the impact it would have on him. Two, because it was never what he wanted. It seems fool hearty to accept a plot that has the main character embracing the very thing he hates in order to rid himself of it. An interesting concept, I will give you that. At what point would he have left her? He gives her an ultimatum at the end. What if she chose to continue. The insights the author gives as to the hidden plan are far too brief to give us an idea as to when he would have ultimately rid himself of her. Three, the plan was faulty to begin with. It is simply wishful thinking. Consider that her second husband in essence did the same thing. He broke the rules and presumably soured her to leaving the lifestyle. His betrayal was enough to get her to not only leave it, but to promise her new husband that she would never go back. And yet we know how that ended. If it didn't work that time, why now? She is once again thoroughly disgusted with the lifestyle and vows never to go back. Again, the thoughts of the husband in the closing lines remind us that such behavior is hard to shed. She'll be back. And so will he.

Having sex with diferent people isn't appealing to me,i can understand that people want some exitement to improve theyr sexlife but look at the results : many divorce after some time,others are disgusted with it and leave the lifestyle,in the end are people really feeling better by fucking other people all the time ?i seriously doubt it

It never ceases to amaze me how people can read a piece of fiction and then make comments like these are real people. They are not in your perfect world. They are in the authors imagination. The author chooses how they interact. For instance she was seduced into the lifestyle by a former husband. The current husband knew this but was so in love with the two babies that he diddnt want to give them up so he does what most men wouldn't do. Okay you did a great job telling this story. Brad is more understanding than I could have ever been. He did get upset at somethings but overall smart. If I could write I'd make my hero match Brad. There must be more stories about just him before Ashley and after. You and the Editor did a great job keeping track of everything and kept me involved. Five stars! I would write short boring stories.

This story would have been really short. From the moment she set him up to cuckold him at the hotel I would have been out of her life.

Some of you think this story is too long. I’d rather have a long story which covers all the reasons for the story and it’s out come. A story that’s too short is like put salt on your food before tasting.

I'd of divorced the first time she did the swinging thing right after I got home from the hotel swing party. Let her find a fourth husband making sure he was into swinging/swapping.

After Ash disappeared into to meeting room and Brad couldn't get entrance, he returned to the front desk and handed the clerk the key cards.

Ash certainly had friends staying at the hotel; they would take care of her through the weekend and their charity would get her home.

The impact from being sandbagged made him puke after loading the bags. The pain in his gut lessened during the drive back until he was totally numb. His guarding angel saved him from a few accidents, and the cop that pulled him over let him off with a warning about highway hypnosis.

After parking the car in the garage, he stumbled to their (now his?) bedroom and collapsed on the bed just this side of catatonic until late Sunday morning.

I think however that Brad had an annoying habit, especially in the beginning, to keep harping on about points he wanted to make. Ashley certainly needed telling off, but it gets tedious hearing him point something out a dozen times in every discussion they have.

I didn't understand why he was being so nice to her when she was cheating on him in the beginning, though. I thought the appropriate response would be to leave her at the hotel with absolutely nothing. Just to send a message, even if he thought he might forgive her later. She did leave everything, including her husband, behind herself, and being a grown woman, she should be able to take the consequence for that.

That being said, I still wonder how he stayed with her after she screwed up oh so badly at the beginning. Ok, I can totally understand how with the kids he stayed. However, had he cut out on her and given her an ultimatum of them or him they would have both lost.

In Judaism there is an old argument that if a woman has been divorced twice then there is a big problem with the woman. Personally I feel that he would have saved himself a great deal of heartache had he not been home when she got there. In order to cure her of her addiction he wound up getting the illness to a degree. Had he not been home it may have shocked her enough to get her to at the least recognize that she had a serious problem.

This is the biggest waste of time on this site. He should have tossed her way back at the hotel all this whining and other shit made me sick. I really tried to give the author a chance but 15 pages of hog wash come on. I had to skip through so much bull no one could have been this stupid.

This is probably one of my favorite "betrayal" stories on Lit. There is plenty of emotion with the sex and the sense of guilt is a fundamental part of the story. I looked at some of the comments and I just don't quite understand them. Yes, there are parts that don't flow well and inconsistencies but they do not detract from the story and it is the story that makes this great. Perhaps splitting this into 3 or 4 parts would help bring the story elements forward and get better ratings. This is definitely underrated IMHO.

She either didn't or was wasn't going to cuck him in Dallas? This is the first of LHs' stories where I got to a point of pretty much fast forwarding starting on Page 9. I probably would have tried to work things out after blasting her the way he did when she came home. It appeared that Brad was finally worn down into accepting the 'Lifestyle' his wife obsessed over. She seemed to be manipulating him closer and closer to what she wanted. It was only at the end that it became clear that Brad was doing the manipulating! But then while curing his wife's disease, he finds himself infected! Swinging has a high record of ending marriages in divorce, so why do people go for it, when supposedly happily married?? Brad and Ashley's marriage will remain on shaky ground and will collapse when the right trigger arrives in their lives. A sad prospect but highly likely.Well thought out and nicely developed.

I stopped on page 7. He should have left her after the hotel. She has too many pitfalls. Anyway, who in their right mind would marry a 22yr old that's been married twice?

A good rule in writing is to get all your ideas written out (and that could have been 16 pages) then go back and trim all the redundant crap out, and get it down to something that's a pleasure to read instead of giving your reader a badly paying part-time job.

A good payoff would be a boner-worthy level of stimulation, which is what we expect from erotic stories. This is like a one chapter novel that revisits the same point over and over in a never ending loop.

You have some promise as a writer, but you better figure out how to give the reader some credit for being able to fill in the gaps, and then, for fucks sake: put those gaps in there!

Alot of women forget that their men are people they consider themselves and their pleasure and assume the husband is enjoying just because he participated... This shows the other side of that coin .. Amazing work... His work on converts to equal pleasure could have expanded to a story in itself am curious to where it leads

I got up to leave acting like I was leaving the party by waving then waved to another table of friends then another table of friends then walked out went to our car and moved it not to far but it wouldn't been seen as easy from the building. I hurried back to the building joined a group I knew so I could see if she came out. Out she came yes two face was with her. She looked worried and I heard her say OMG I think he left me and it's my fault for dancing with you Dick. I need to get home. Dick said I will take you honey. She said no thanks you have caused enough trouble already. She turned I guessed to find someone to take her home I was right there and as she seen me I asked looking for someone? She jumped to me and hugged me wispered I'm sorry. I said I am glad you remembered what I had said. That was I would not tolerate going to any outings and be left on my own while she had fun. We went in and danced a while then went home. We are still together after 39 years.

He comes up with a plan and executes it thus saving his wife from her obsession, but little did he know at the time that his plan might engender a new dark obsession in himself. Hopefully, he finds the strength to deal with it.

This may work for some people but it didn't work for me. I wasn't included in on the extramarital sex just my wife. After figuring it out that my wife was involved with it I was ready for divorce and was ready to spend every dime we had to fight for our children. I came to find out she had already stopped. Ash is a manipulative, sex addict and Brad should've had her go to thearpy instead of self-treating her. His course of action could've gone very bad and at the end of the story, Ash still is sex addict. Eventually circumstance and her addiction is going to rear its ugly head and destroy the marriage. That is, unless she gets the thearpy she needs so she can learn how to recgonize and deal with the situiation. Brad never taught her how to do that. All he did was made Ash sick of swinging in the meantime.

Excellent story, didn't go quite where I expected. Interesting how he used sex against her. But sex is like that, it gets old, the more you have sex the less exciting it becomes unless you are a nympho or guy more interested in notches on his gun rather than a true relationship.

5 but not sure how to feel about it. Both the husband and wife did wrong, their relationship seems built on manipulating the other. The wife seemed to have an addiction to sex and the husband was willing to spend months screwing women to try to break her habit. If it wasn't for the kids I don't think they would have lasted after the swingers convention. Still a good long story with plenty of enjoyable smut and a happy ending.

I enjoyed this Novella. The Story was great and I kinda hated the end. Not that I'd change a word because it is an incredibly sad love story of a man who gives up his soul to save his wives soul. For me it cut too close to the edge. I naively married a woman 9 years younger and she turned out to be A LOT MORE SEXUALLY EXPERIENCED than me and She hung the horns of a Cuck on me. Lied to me for 14 years. Then told me I was a lousy lay, had a small cock and basically destroyed my self esteem and my life. "My Life" - what a fucking Joke.

Great story. I was amazed that Brad could save the marriage by participating in the lifestyle to such an extent that he made Ashley sick of the lifestyle. He did it much like an addict needed to go through this realization that life without drugs was possible and preferable. I know many who used to smoke cigarettes who cannot stand smokers and gag at the smell of cigarette smoke. Ashley was addicted to the lifestyle and Brad was able to break her of her addiction. Now, in the end, will Brad be able to remain faithful to Ashley or will he keep fucking his beautiful next door neighbor’s wife. You see, Ashley is off the drug of wife swapping but Brad still has a taste for fucking other women on the side. This is another risk of a wife talking a husband into partaking in the “lifestyle” and he may not want to give up that choice even when she has. Will she ever find out he is cheating on her? Probably, then Brad will lose her to divorce as Margaret will convince her to pull the trigger on ending the marriage once she discovers that Brad is fucking the next-door neighbor’s wife. Brad is smart enough to figure out how to get Ashley out of the “lifestyle” but he is not smart enough to control himself now that he has had a taste of it. Great story. I loved it and gave it five stars.

I went from chapter 4 to 15. I was pretty sure, this was going to end up with him cucked, eating her cream pies from her lovers. Not my cup of tea. Let’s look at the facts. She said she went “ searching all the bars, looking for him”. But does not attempt to call him, till he is half way home.

She never explained why. Also, her experience behind the door, is “ circumstantial evidence” . There is no way to prove she didn’t fuck someone. If she can’t prove it, her actions leading up to going in that room, make her guilty. And SHE DID set the whole thing up, which also makes her guilty. No way in hell, he stays with her, taking financial responsibility for her two brats, from other men. Cut your losses. One star. Because longhorn does not like men with balls!

I liked the whole series. Your writing kept me reading. I was haunted by a glaring inconsistency from early on. It’s only a five hour drive from Dallas to San Antonio, but Brad never asked for honesty about what happened in the many hours between his leaving Dallas and Ashley’s leaving Dallas. That dishonesty on Ashley’s part bothered me throughout the saga.

Sorry... when I read where Ashley told Brad about the swinger's club meeting while they were on their way to their hotel I would have turned the car around, went back home, and started divorce proceedings... Ashley knew in advance the hotel was hosting a swinger's convention be fore they left and didn't want Brad to find out till she thought it was too late to turn around... this is pure deceit and disrespect and a sure indication she was into swinging and wanted to experience more... that should have been the end of the story.

A well written story about an absolute trainwreck of a marriage. How they made it past Dallas is beyond me. I am usually respectful of a reconciliation but that was surreal and her lack of explanation beyond a haze of excitement was awful. But ok they make it past that point and she reasserts her pledges. Yeah right. Soon she has to get her fixed in forums, web sites about her drug of choice (swinging), and phone calls with Glenna. She is now surrounding herself with the drug paraphernalia prior to using the needle. After discovering that no idea how Brad doesn't file for divorce. Ok say he is a really nice guy, loves Ashley fierce, has heard the "never cheat" dialog with Glenna (imagine if he hadn't heard that), and is worried about her two daughters. Now he tries the porn, the roleplay, the flirting (play with fire). Then comes the engineered soft swap. That is absolutely when he should have filed. Why? Because she is so turned on by it, he isn't and the confession afterwards about she wanted him to screw the other wife lays it all out. In the story he see no way forward but to go along with swinging. But the obvious answer is confess to what he was trying, what he heard on the tape, what he saw on the computer, and say enough is enough and file for divorce. Maybe they go to a counselor, maybe they try a separation, so she can see what she is losing. Instead he opts for what like six months of hardcore swinging to get her to the point she realizes she had better sex and enjoyment when they did the porn and roleplay? Really? And then she is pissed for him manipulating her to save the marriage? Why go through all of that. Stage an intervention, don't try to do the rehab yourself. That is not believable or at all likely to succeed. Again well written but long story, but the premise descended into debasement and debauchery of the husband's principles to make his wife wake up. But now at the end he looks to be in trouble. It is not clear but there is a decent chance their marriage is doomed, or at least forever wounded. Either he will stray or she will get jealous for no reason, or their sex life will crater with each other due to their discomfort. Without counseling I bet the chance of divorce more than doubles. He left his morals and honor at the door and let his wife go back to her addiction. She may come around but what will she do settle for as "appropriate" and still fulfilling? Will she go the other way out of shame and guilt? Or will they flirt and watch pornos? They had something good then went further and crapped over it. And the real problem is that he is forever changes. He knows now how much women desire him not just for his looks but his sexual prowess. "...and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you". I wish this fictional couple well but without a lot more work in their marriage, they are in trouble.

A very unrealistic beginning. Here is our Hero, who is his wife’s third husband, and he knows about her past as a swinger. First, why did he not immediately turn around and cancel the weekend? OK, so his wife then protests vociferously that she just wants to watch the passing show of the swingers’ antics at the hotel and he stupidly relents and they proceed anyway. Next, once at the hotel wife meets swingers she knew from before and immediately without so much as a word to her husband jumps right into the sack with them. WTF??? This is not even remotely realistic human behavior. Sorry, just not buying it.

The screaming meemies complain about amateur stories on a free site! It begs the question why none of these geniuses have attempted to do better that this writer's works. Some, who complain about the writers on this site can barely manage a two line comment.
