But I fear blackmail is turning into a "meaningful relationship" between our two main characters.

Faith is over-complying, ostensibly because of the fear of an Internet expose. But we've seen no confirmation. Tony believes Faith is a goddess. Perhaps soon, he will start cutting her some slack.

We still have Melissa, although that option has been diluted.

The story needs something harsh and severe to re-establish its edge.
