Entrancing and inspiring as always! Your talent shines as the stories continue to flow and weave. My mental pictures are quite vivid when I read your work, Ms. Buxton. Many thanks. You inspire me to begin again. OGB
Her stories capture the heartaches and joys of having been a wannabe and then becoming an amputee. It's been several years for me since my leg was amputated and I often wish it could have happened many years before. Now I am the way I was supposed to be.
I thought the 'Alexander's Resort' series was great until the 'All In The Family' series appeared. WOW! I wish my family and friends had been this understanding. Like some of her characters, I divorced my husband who did not understand my need or wish to be with me if I had my leg amputated. Most of the people who used to be in my life no longer will have any contact with me.
Sometimes I think the only people who 'get it' are others that have this need. The need is real and overpowering. Peggy 'gets it'. As always, I look forward to her next story.
