Actually, it was more a cultural stereotype. From my experience, given the value, or lack thereof of women in most Asian cultures, they do tend to be shyer or quieter than average. But of course that is not true of all Asian women simply because they are Asian. I have to concede that was not my best written sentence. Assigning her a quality simply because of her ethnicity was not the best choice.
