4 Stars. I liked it, but there was a lot of superfluous bits and pieces that didn't help or hurt the story.

no idea what the 'pokies' means in this context. Slot machines? I'm used to pokey being slang (rarely) for a girl with nips that are threatening to poke holes in her top. :-) Clearly, shes a slut, and you're the sort of asshole that would cuck a newly married next door neighbor. hopefully the husband will shoot you in the nuts next time.

Nice story. Believable too, because she probably had a crush on the narrator when she was a younger adolescent. Many girls do have crushes on their older brothers' friends but most outgrow it, of course. Once again I've learned more Australian slang from your stories -- this time it's the word Pokies. For other innocents such as myself, they're slot machines, and not the more obvious guess of "the ponies." Given that she gave him half her winnings of $850, shouldn't he have offered himself up as a reward? Well then I guess the story would have been more than a page long. The horror! 5*~~JB

I figured out “pokies” were slot machines only in her explanation of the newly acquired riches. One more entry in my Australian glossary.
