Maybe I am jumping the gun, or I missed something in one of the other chapters. Has he told her he was once a student of hers? If not, does he plan to tell her? After all, a lot of teachers do not recognize or remember the names of many of their former students. As such, I do not recall that he told her about their previous relationship as her student and her subsequent reaction, or is that something to be revealed in a future chapter?

Yes, he revealed himself to be a former student in chapter 2 at breakfast.
