The author actually did do another chapter on another site but took it down, something to do with his missus complaining or something.

Me thinks the girlfriend keeps his balls in her purse right next to his money. Shame we'll never see an end to this story.

Which site was that? As far as I'm aware, he did post 5 chapters on wattpad, but they were all only part of chapter 1 posted here on Lit.

I think its safe to assume, though I don't want to say it, that the author is dead. I have arrived at this conclusion because of the fact that he was posting relatively frequently until this chapter, where after four years, there hasn't been a new chapter or even update post since october 2012

Someone should just go ahead and delete this f****** story and his bio page. That way people can just move on and get over it.

This is really an incredible story, and I am sad to see it stranded.

It was a bit corny from time to time (why does the hero only meet beautiful women) but hey, it comes with the "erotica" bit so I'm willing to let this pass.

Beyond that, the world you built is quite extraordinary in its level of detail and plausibility and the various factions and their intrigues breathe it to life very nicely.

I wish there was a follow-up!

I'm taking up the mantle and attempting to write another chapter to this story. Please let me know if you will support or if you can give any aid to the project. I'm just finished a list of the entire story including plot lines, details and some important points of dialogue.

I have my doubts (it's hard to imagine anyone doing this story as well as the long-missing Intrepid_Fate... after all, it may well be the best on literotica, even unfinished), but I wish you the best.

After browsing through Barns and Nobles I was looking at some sci-fi books and stumbled upon a booked called Necromancer. To my pleasant surprise after reading the sample, I found that it was indeed the same story aside from reasons the author had to make some changes to allow this story to remain on this site. The book has all the same content and continues much further into the story but I am awaiting a sequel to learn what the main character (name changed) will do and experience.

Intrepid Fate, using a pen name has apparently published this as a book... with the positive results here, has taken the next step to see if the sales prove true.... I.F. is remaining anonymous as he/she also uses other pen names, even here on Lit... strange as it may sound... I.F. apparently doesn't like prying into their personal affairs... if you like the stories, great... A sequel of some sort is in the works... not much else is known... the eccentric nature of writers is strange at times...

Oh? A rerelease? Could it be that Fate is smiling upon us once more? I'm really hoping you're back, Intrepid, and that this rerelease isn't die to some other reason.

This is probably because there's no copyright issue anymore since the person who stole the story and tried to sell it on amazon couldn't prove it was his. Hope that guy gets cancer. It'd be a miracle if Intrepid ever came back and finished this.

Can we get more from this someday? I love this so much.

Its back in part because I filed complaints with Amazon, Patreon, and Literotica about JC_The Continuer trying to steal Fates work and make a profit from it

Would have been one thing had the little shit not claimed on Amazon he was the original author and used that claim to get Literotica to pull these entries fro Fates page

Don't know if author known as intrepid fate is even alive, but the book on Amazon was published by the person known hereabouts as jc the continuer, Don't know if stolen or bought. Another fine example of this is A Masters Ring by Elsol, you can find this work on Amazon as written by lord anubus, yet Elsol claims in his notes here on lit he did not give permission for any of his writing to be published anywhere but here.

I've seen other examples of this elsewhere on the web and see it as an ongoing issue.

It is shame to find a series incomplete because?...

As far as i can tell there is a author, "jc the continuer" on here, he seems to have taken over this story and published a book based on chapter 1 and 2 here on lit. Almost word for word. So check it put on google books or other ebook places.

Jc the continuer is a “continuation writer” in that he takes old stores and makes them his own, by changing them with each new chapter. So basically plagiarizing the original story for his own benefit. Scalping both this and Intrepid fates other story while using pateron to profit of them. If you want prove, just read the comments by jc further down and his bio on lit here.

JC doesn’t even make it his own tho, I read reviews and got my hands on copies of his work and it is a literal word for word sale of chapter 1-3 put into 2 books. The whole reason these got reuploaded when they did was Intrepid winning a copyright/plagiarism case against JC for being a scummy person. We might get a propped continuation of the story but after all this time and the issues plagiarists cause I doubt it, especially with how many “dead” stories there are that should get more added but the authors just don’t for whatever reasons.

Xackson that you for the info. Any idea why Intrepid has not continued this story? I was really in to it and the next chapters would have been special.

I came into this knowing it was abandoned, and I figured it wouldn't be so bad since I knew not to expect a decent conclusion. But this was so well written that it hurts to se it abandoned. I just want it to continue, I even tried to read a continuation by some guy called JC the Continuer, but it read like fanfiction. Damn good story, if you're still out there, please try to continue this.

Yeah, there is actually more posted here than in the first book, and nothing has really happened since. The book was released in 2018, and I don’t think the author is still writing, which is sad thing as this is a very good story.

Anyone sad about the unfished state of the story I strongly recommend home of horny monsters, also it lacks some of the real dark humor its an amazingly worthwhile read.

This story has been published you can find it on Amazon for ten bucks in paperback. I'm holding out for a Kindle version!

Read the story, read the 400+ comments from up to 10 years back. Checked the book on Amazon, which is the continuation by JC_the_continuer, who wrote that they'd attained the rights to continue the series on their wattpad page(which means that they didn't write the original story and aren't I_F; further supported by JC's comments on this story a while back saying that they're picking up the story). The Amazon book's sample pages have the same story as the one here on LR(and I assume with no new content than what is already shown here on LR). While the Wattpad version does have alterations to the story, its not a complete rewrite of the original story, some parts have just been added or removed while other parts of the story remain untouched. The Wattpad version has 4 chapters at the moment, and starts at the end of chapter 3 page 4 (when Dani wakes up) and ends right before Ian encounters Mei (the banshee). While the Wattpad story doesn't completely rip the LR story word for word, I don't think it'd be right to call it a separate story. Read it if you want, just search the title in Wattpad and be the judge of it yourself. Honestly, seeing people argue, hope and despair over this series has left me feeling depressed. Bashing the author or asking for it to be taken down is simply unfair to the author. Whatever the author did with the story, its their choice however unfortunate it is for the readers. However, I do wish the author had informed the readers before dropping this series. Its highly unlikely if not impossible that Intrepid_Fate will pick up this series again, but at least we were able to witness it, unfinished or not. I'm glad that this story wasn't taken down, because if that had happened then I would've never been able to read this story or even know it existed. I'd only encountered this story recently, even though I've been on LR for over 4 years and having read the story, I deeply regret not having found this gem earlier. Let this story stay up to show people what could be or what could've been, a lesson in storytelling and world building narrative. Something to use as inspiration to fuel other great works or even to simply exist so that others who haven't encountered this story have the opportunity to read it. Also, being able to have a bite of a delicious thing is still better than having none at all and I'm grateful I was able to have a taste of this story even though I wish I could've had more. Over the years I've been on this site I've never once written a comment and probably won't ever again. I just hope that this story gets the appreciation it deserves and that it may inspire others to write similarly amazing works that we can read. But NO, you want it free, and then get horribly spiteful with toys right out the pram when a five pound note spent would have realised your apparent wishes.

I'm not sure how legit the "book" being sold with this name is, stolen online stories was a pretty big problem for a while. It sucks it'll never be finished, but at least we got to experience it for a while.

This is the best version of necromancy I have ever read period, no other tale in books on the shelf can even come close. I dearly hope Mr Fate that you at least come back long enough to give us the rest of this tale or at least tell us where to go to find it.

I appreciate a well written story like this one. That said, I’d like to give the author a virtual kick in the gonads for hooking me, then abandoning the story.

To all those who want to know a little more about the author, where he disappeared, why there is no continuation, I recommend finding a book on Amazon and studying the author's biography section.

JC isnt the author, he admited as much in comments he cant delete in the posted stories, the only reason these stories are even still on literotica is becuase I and a few other people highlighted that fact to amazon and literotica

Damn. I hate it when they post a great story and then they don't finish it. It's like a movie that's only 60% done. You never know the ending or where the story was going to go.

All the feedback posters may like to know that the book version has been published and is available. To some of the strange posts wishing harm to the continuer JC, they really should check their facts, and just try to be better humans. The author has clearly stated he writes his own work and continues stories where authors have stalled, disappeared, or even passed on. Slandering his name, character, and work whilst hiding anonymously behind a keyboard, wishing cancer among other nice deaths is contemptible at best. I wont stoop to your depths with more. If you are SO firm in your accusations, state your name, stand tall, but we all know why you won't. Lies are more interesting than truth. Identify yourself and I'll certainly do the same. I'll not hold my breath for an honourable outcome though.
