Other than his stupidity in the beginning everyones role went smoothly and the two best lovebirds ended together.

MC was really stupid to go off half cocked and not even read Melissa's letter. Could have saved himself years of trouble. Also what's the deal with Eric, he raises Andrea for 10 years, says she's A great kid and then just walks out of her life? What a douchebag!

The moment Trina dies, the story is over

The husband done the right thing by not having the kids tested even if they would have lived if he was any kind of man it wouldn't have mattered for he was there dad in every way that matters he was there for them since day 1 he raised them he loved them supported them both physically and emotionally his name is on there birth certificate in anyone's eyes including the laws he is there dad as far as his wife goes yes he should have divorced her honestly with her actions towards him throughout the entire story he should have already divorced her as far as is ok to feel like the 2 girls did in this story no it's not if you didn't love your husband you don't mislead them by agreeing to marry them however she married him once she did she should have done her very best to be a loving and supporting wife not some stuck up bitch I'm full aware that some women would feel it's fine to do what this wife did however those women have the morels of a ally cat and are flat out sluts most women though isn't going to say yes to marrying someone if they don't love them either way this wife was a slut and to use my husband's words she and her lover got what they deserved now her friend who covered for her got off way too easy she have been killed as well 1 she was also a cheating slut even if it was just once she's still a cheating slut not a loving wife so she should have been killed as well and 2 she wasn't a true friend a true friend wouldn't have covered for her affair she would have tried to stop it from happening even by going as far as telling her she would tell her husband if she goes through with it for a true friend wouldn't let you destroy your marriage and life like you would be doing by having an affair and becoming a cheating slut

MC was a total immature moron when it came to Melissa. He went into a rage on little to know information and assumed the worst, as if he was establishing his BTB cred. What a putz. As such he loses the love of his life for many years. Serious idiocy. Then ends up with a slut. Karmic justice for him. Then she and Zack get run off the road. At least Melissa is waiting for him. So many wasted years apart from Mel and his daughter. Good job!

Yeah, the "typical" LW male is a man-child with the emotions of a five-year old, the judgment skills of gangster rapper and the temperament of a fire ant. They run away, cry like a little girl, punk when stressed, cut off all communication (even when said communication might be advantageous). It seems these fictional putzes are not necessarily a reflection of the story creator. Instead, they are indicative of the writer's need to be accepted by the BTB crowd who all expect that type of character (there's your mirror). Why that blanket statement? This male is the archetype main character in 90% of the non-cuck-doormat stories in this category. Those silly characters draw down what would be decent stories were they populated with realistic XY characters.

Would have been more fitting if they hadn't died in that car wreck but were instead horribly maimed and disfigured so they'd have to live with their shame and never be able to do much of anything. 4 Stars ... A good story with a happy ending. The Bitch and the Bastard getting "offed " was a great touch, as well. The worst glitch was the partial Liver transplant, becoming a Kidney donation for one paragraph... All around; one of the better stories on here . Thanks !

The first moral of this story is be careful what you assume on the basis of zero or little evidence. In this case the dumbass MC who assumes that Melissa is pregnant with Eric's baby, calling her a bitch and a slut and telling her to never communicate with him again in a fit of hyper rage. Yeah how did that work out for you? 10+ years without the love of your life. Druving her into a marriage at 18 with a guy she only barely knew, but who was nice enough to take her in and care for her and another man's child. Yeah that was brilliant! The second moral of this story is that when you are really upset and think you have been betrayed it is pretty stupid to tear up any letters or in other stories delete all voice-mail messages without at least sampling them. There is always a chance you are wrong. Even if you observed cheating with your own eyes, which this dumbass did not by a long shot, instead he went with his imagination and insecurities with no freaking evidence whatsoever, maybe your wife or girlfriend was drugged or raped or heavily blackmailed. What she writes or says on a message may be bs, but it might also have a slim chance of having a kernel of truth that explains the present predicament. In this case, if he had read his final letter, he woukd have seem what a dumbass he really was and woukd have gone down a very different path. But nope, he is quite the motion error dumbass. When you are overseas, and yes you know her parents forced her to go to a prom with a geeky college guy, why assume that ifnshe is pregnant it is the other guy's? She didn't come clean because Eric made her promise to never tell the real identity of Andrea's biological father. Eric wasn't a bad man, if anything he was all she had at that low point in her life. Heck she was only 18 and dumbass failed to live up to his responsibilities and did a stupid btb from afar with no proof, other than she was 4 months pregnant. Back in the day, some women could take several months to know for sure they were pregnant. Four months is pushing it, but maybe she thought her dumbass boyfriend overseas would not react well to the news. What a dumbass. Frustrates me no end when a guy is married to his wife for 20+ years, is oblivious to an affair and immediately deletes all voice mails or destroys all letters. You owe it to your marriage to get as much information as possible yo make an informed decision. Making a mistake, not about her motivations, but about the actual events and circumstances, can be absolutely fatal. Probably only relevant a few percent of the time, but the consequences if you are wrong are so egregious that a risk-reward analysis makes it clear no matter how pissed off you are that you need information; verifiable information. You can always get you mad on two days later. Of course depends on what you already know and have observed. If you know she has willingly been in a multimonth affair with a young buck and have seen them together and clearly consensual l, with evidence of recordings visual and/or audio, then yeah you don't have to listen and probably better of nit doing so. But often you don't have all that clear information right away and at least need to scan your messages to see whether you missed something, misinterpreted something, or to even see her mindset as you file for divorce to see if it will be ugly, especially if kids are involved. Anyways in this case, dumbass really mucked it all up.

The dude is an asdhat who doesn't deserve the new wife. Didn't read the letter, just assumed she cheated... He knows they had sex...he was there. There had to be a question in his head.... And why didn't the woman tell his sister and mother to tell him? I'd be ok with the answer 'because she realized he's a dick'. But that s clearly isn't the answer. Plus... If it were me trying to work on my marriage I'd insist on going because the purpose was to work on the marriage.

The hell... Also an asshat. He really didn't give enough if a shit about her to condone checking the real father. He raised her for what was it 10 years but fuck it let her die rather than let anyone know she's not my kid? And then I'll just get outta dodge and screw the kid... Never need to see her again.

None of the three kids seemed to grieve at all for their mother. That's very odd, even if she was a cheating skank. Neither Mel nor Andrea seemed to grieve Pete's departure from their lives either. The combined family appeared to be a bunch of emotionally distant psychopaths. Hopefully the Senator can mentor each of the kids once they graduate from college and find themselves naturally suited to be politicians.

This author is really a gutter dweller. It amazing the number of stories in which low morals are shown by having character assist in covering up,affaira or otherwise quickly agreeing to keep secrets. That Maria did the mc a tremendous disservice by keeping Trina secret for years and he just immediately agrees to slam Bob or Bill whatever by helping her keep her affair secret. Completely stupid and validates the total lack of ethics this writer presents. It happens far tooo often in these pages. Low score.

1 star for major plot holes fixed in an instant as the ex gf could of easily proved via a dna test or by talking to his parents, family, friends and even boss to let him know it was his baby.

Furthermore why would a woman have love for someone who would abandon her without a chance of talking things through.

Last but not least, why isn'y the sister getting any fallout for the shit she spewed instead of finding out the truth.

Andy Sr. shouldn’t have given the kids away to just anyone. There was also Zach’s parents who were rich, right? If he wasn’t going after Janice’s money as she had nothing to do with it, he could have either gone after their money or simply dropped off Trina’s bastards onto them.

There’s also no mention of Melissa’s bitch mother who caused all the problems by forcing her to marry Eric. Was she dead by the time Melissa and Andy Sr. finally married?

Well written but as others have said there are a few problems and inconsistencies:

Would have liked to have known who the kids father was, medical, financial, emotional reasons.

While the antagonists died, it seems like they got off easy for a pair who betrayed their partners and their families for 7 years. And they never learned anything as they cheated after being caught.

I don't think the senator would have hurt her career by having a cheating spouse. In fact I think she would have got more sympathy.

I generally like this author's stories, but this one was a swing and big whiff. There were too many internal flaws to allow me to get into the story. As has been mentioned a number of times, hero never wonders if he just might be the father? Next, as a state Senator, Conroy is just a minor local politician. Nobody outside of her local bird cage liner gives a crap about her husband having an affair; in the Chicago Trib the story might get a couple of paragraphs on page 17. Nobody, but nobody, is going to be contacting the hero about this. Her "superiors" aren't going to have her husband killed over this, and in any case the only politicians who *aren't* her superiors are pretty much the dogcatcher and their assistant. It's a minor story at best, and NOBODY CARES.

Worst, though, is the plea by Mel to not have hero check his children's DNA - after all, he's the one who has raised them, changed diapers, etc. He's their real father and the DNA doesn't matter!! This is true . . . but why doesn't Mel feel that same way regarding her former husband and daughter? Nah, former hubby is a good guy and all that, but never was considered by Mel as Andrea's father. I guess that make's Zack the real father to hero's three (lack of diaper changing and all that be damned) but conveniently he is dead. It's a cheap way out for the author.

Keeping secrets fro his buddy Bob is the same as condoning and assisting his slutwifes activities. It speaks of low morals o behalf of the author,an all too common situation in these pages. Score goes low for this and the stupidity of the mc. Weak effort.

Wow. All this could have been avoided if the MC had not gone Rambo when finding out his girlfriend was pregnant. He immediately assumed that Eric was the father? No DNA test or any corroboration. Just burn down Melissa. No communication. What a colossal jerk or moron.! Take your pick (or both).

This guy ended up well despite himself. Totally blowing off Mel and not letting her explain when he found out she was pregnant screwed him. I would have been a little suspicious when Trina was pregnant again at the same time as the first child. And Bob and him not going with the girls to their conference was just stupid...

Your word flow well and are convincing even with scenes to convenient to the plot. Yes you should know for medical reasons. People don't usually die conveniently.

Excellent weaving of the plot with enough suspense and ups and downs. The ending is great, especially with Jen expecting her first child and the kids all adopting one another so easily.

Very well written and coherent story with it very believable what story line.

He might want to figure out a way to make 2 simple sentences be joined one smoother line because otherwise it sounds like Ted and Sally ran and jumped all the by Sue and Ted smiled.

It sounds stilted and not how people talk in real life. As a writing issue that bothered me some but not enough to deny it and not enough to dig you and not give you the 5 stars you deserved.

Also the kids got over the grief of their mother's loss a little too fast as to be believable. Kids are resilient yes but not that resilient.

Offer a little unbelievable that the man would put up With such an obviously hateful and loveless wife if for several years without seriously considering divorce.

That could have been carried on as an internal dialog but really should have been included.

This one was without your usual twist. I kept waiting for it but it never came. Not to mention the fact there was ZERO justice or retribution for any of the cheaters or bad people. Death is not justice as those that die feel no pain for their transgressions. The slimy Senator kept being able to be slimy. The people in the Black SUV disappeared and even Marie got away free and clear of her cheating.

You would think having been cheated on the main character would have at least gotten word to his supposed friend Bob that Marie cheated on him. He could have used the Senator to help with that. He had her over a barrel and she would have done many things to help him especially outing another cheater. I have had a lot of experience dealing with slimy and bad people in power and it is ironic how they love to stick it to other bad or slimy people.

There were just too many holes and wtf scenarios in this story for my taste but the premise was good.

Six pages and you can't come up with some way besides killing them off to out the cheaters? Then after his wife is killed in an accident with the husband of a state senator and he has to answer every phone call? And answer every question? Plus the fact that she was such a bitch throughout their marriage. This guy is frickin' clueless.

My question is did Jen give Mel a chance to tell her that it was Andy's child she was carrying, before writing to her brother? The letter Mel sent could have been in transit when Andy wrote his final letter to Mel. Had Jen given Mel a chance to be heard, even after Andy broke it off with Mel, she could have written her brother and tell her the child Mel was carrying was his.

Of course if this had happened, it would not have been the story DG wanted to write.

I didn't like any of the characters in this story. And there was no reward. I read these stories for mental masturbation; the unexpected car crash and his unrepentant attitude towards his ex gf robbed me my pleasure.

He finds out that Mel had his daughter. Why would he not find out if Zack was the biological Father of any of his other three kids? If one or all of them are, he could have simply asked the Senator for money to cover their lives. A few million to someone like that is nothing. And the kids deserved to know at some point. What happens if they have a medical emergency and need something - even blood - and their Father is not a match? You played the story one way, then you wanted to play it another way. That ruined the entire story.

I have a son who calls another man "Daddy". I cannot explain the pain I feel from never hearing my son call me "Daddy". No word in the English language can compare.

Cheating wives foisting bastard children off on unsuspecting husband's really grinds my gears, but in this case Andy didn't have much choice. He loved those kids and if he found out he wasn't their father, it would wreck their relationship. At the same time, his evil cunt of a first wife and her asshole lover were both wormfood, so there was no one the kids could go to. He got trust funds set up for all four kids, so he wouldn't be out of pocket for college etc.

Incidentally, it didn't really matter if he had a sample of Zack's DNA. Andy just needed to test himself against the kids to check if he was the father.

The one thing I was curious about was why Trina hated Mel so much and was hoping that the kids were Zack's not Andy's. The way Maria said that implied that Trina knew the truth about Andy being Andrea's father, but it's never revealed how she could have known.

Only thing I disagree with is the DNA test. I would've insisted no matter what he has should know. some will say whats the point. the point is he should know the truth. both of them should incase a health issue is a concern.

Of all the cheating wives stories, this cheating bitch was the worst! Staying in a loveless marriage in which she refused to invest anything, while she lived only for her biennial tryst with her adulterous boy friend. A worse cold calculating whore cannot be conceived. You read the free story which is very good and complete. The Trina character was low down dirty woman and Zack was a stupid man child. They got the only thing that made everything good for the other good left behind.

Yes Mel wasn’t overly bright but she was written as a good soul, in the end she lived and got everything she wanted. Everyone else did nothing wrong and were rewarded. This story is nearly a fable (DE Hear fables) kill stupid people and let good people get rewarded.

One HUGE problem is when he calls her and confronts her and she seems SO concerned but in the "real" accident report she's giving ass-breath a blow-job and bites his dick off. Very conflicting! Reality says she's really flipped out because now her husband knows and everything could blow-up in both her and her lovers faces! She would immediately hed home to try to "smooth things over" with her husband, so, to me, that's when the story went off the rails!

While maybe problematic, I don't see how her husband cheating is a BIG problem for the Senator, it's not like SHE was having an affair.

I don't remember seeing it mentioned anywhere, but Trina calling him "Lover" and "Baby." I bet she used the same terms of endearment with Zack so that she wouldn't accidentally call hubby "Zack"!

From the beginning of the story there was no marriage. When Mel came back into his life I figured he would eventually end up with her. I was sure he would find Trina out, divorce her and find out the kids weren't his. But since you decided it would be better to kill her. If he had done the DNA the kids would've been his anyway. There was no mystery in this story,it was all up front from the begining. Good story, but if you could have shortened it by four pages instead of trying to go over so many things it would have had a little bit of mystery to it and made it more exciting. The ending to this story was in the beginning all along.

Despite those that say he should have had the dna tests done what’s the point. He’s their father in every important way. Maybe he is not the bio dad but he’s dead as is the bio mom so it’s a moot point. I guess he could have sued for child support and alienation of affection, but there would have been a media feeding frenzy and the kids would have been hurt. He did get 400 grand for the kids and Melanie for him and no need for a divorce. Good deal if you ask me. Plus the kids will all grow up only knowing Mel as their mother and Trina will be long forgotten.

Not too many stories can break my hard, embittered heart. This one however is beautifully written and kinda made me cry a bit. Several times he becomes suspicious of things she does but never follows up on them, until it's way past too late. You had Mel take the easy way out. At least she should have tried talking to Jen and his mother before marring Eric. No way Eric would have married Mel without her popping out some of his kids, especially over a ten year period.
