Firstly, it is so unlikely Andrea simply turned up in that way; seems way more probable it was some kind of scheme she had. Either way, it's an emotional point she'd be making, not a mercenary one. Demanding a payoff is simply crass.

I agree, I think the story could have been better if Andrea had always wanted Scott, and she had planned this to get a shot at finally making him hers. I think a better ending would have been for Andrea to use her position of power to continue to have Scott whenever she wanted, perhaps letting him get married to Rachel, but demanding that he continually cheat on her with Andrea. She could continue toying with him until she decides that she wants Rachel out of the picture, and ruins Scott's marriage in some spectacular fashion

This was half of a story! So what happened with Andrea? Did the wedding happen? Exactly how big was the guy's cock? Did Andrea get knocked up? Inquiring minds want to know!

Pick up your phone. Call Rachel and explain what happened. Call the police and report the blackmail attempt.

This isn't going to be pretty, but caving in to extortion likely will only bring more extortion. This is going to hit the fan, so having this hit the fan now (instead of after the marriage) will save you a very expensive divorce.

At worst you lose them both. You can't be sued for adultery because you are not married.
