Really ought to be fleshed out - they're at a spiritual retreat and all that's said about it is two sentences about "workshops and inspirational ideas"? Seems like this would be a big deal for both, with competing feelings, looking for guidance in the retreat workshops, etc. Possibly even disapproving minor characters. Certainly thoughts about the husband.
two dimensional story I've ever read. Nothing about it is believable - the characters, the plot, the dialogue. Give up.
OK, nice, but what about Joan's husband. It is not just between Lisa and Joan, there is a husband and family involved in these decisions as well. Cheating is cheating! Is this the beginning of the end of a marriage, and if so how can Lisa justify destroying a marriage yet pastoring a church? Seems as if you have a lot of serious issues to address, a lot more involved then a cuddle on the bed.
