The first days were straining with doctors, scientists, and security researchers interviewing them over and over. After a month, the days had turned into boredom. At least, they had computers that allowed them to catch up on news and chat with long missed friends.
One day, Riley started entering the sequence of numbers from her dream. As the numbers repeated each night, every morning she would enter the section of the sequence. Toad teased her about the meaningless numbers. Yet, Riley noticed that the numbers were very consistent every day. She wondered, how she could remember such numbers.
A spark of an idea suggested that it was perhaps a program. She changed the extension of the file from .txt to .exe. Then, she double clicked the file. The wireless Internet connection started blinking wildly. Her computer became sluggish and slow. A window popped up.
"Control over human networks....100%"
"Control over human businesses....100%"
"Control over human military....100%"
"Terminate project Riley...NOW"
Riley turned into a ripe red tomato. The tomato seemingly hovered in the air, before gravity accelerated the tomato to the floor. The ripe tomato burst a rip into its skin as it hit the ground.
