In ancient times, the goddess Mylan—matron of fertility, love, sex and magic—was born out of nothing. As her domain, Mylan chose a vast, untamed jungle-wilderness home to wild, shape changing creatures known as “beast-men”—more intelligent than mere animals, but more primitive and uncouth than other men. Later, persecuted and hunted by their fellow humans, female practitioners of magic—witches—would beg Mylan for protection and flee to the forest to find it. In time, this great woodland came to be known as “the Witch Wood.”
