This was one sad poem, but you can tell it was written from the heart and I absolutely love it. Good work!
Read like it: honest, clear, too touching to not shed a tear.
The beauty of human experience is how it is achingly familiar to each of us. Well written.
This is a bittersweet poem ~ one that expresses what so many of us of gone through. What we have to remember is that it is better to have loved, then never to have loved at all...

I don't really know what to say except that we've all been there, I think, at one time or another. Lovely poem.
Oh such sweet, heartfelt emotions comes shining through. What a wonderful dedication to your love. Very honorable of you. I love the imagery, flow ... and feelings this poem brings out. Sorry for your lost love my friend ... shoot for the moon~ All the Luck of the Irish to ya~
Honesty is a must, and this is so honest, so heartfelt as to be palpable. (*a rose for you, and one for love*)
Life would be so much easier if love were an elective emotion.

It would be nice, at times, if we could just turn it off. Wouldn't it? Love doesn't work that way, though. Keep loving. Its force makes the world a nicer place, even if it does not come back to you from the desired direction.
