And I appreciate the cleansing effort, and "felt" the poem. As phantom pain subsides, consider some tweaking. I'd be tempted to dump the caps, and play with some of the line breaks.

I can feel some of what you meant in this poem. I'm not clouded enough to believe that I know exactly what you are feeling, or thinking. I've been in that place where nothing allows the feelings to be set right, where the world is closing in and shut out. The time spent there is necessary in some manner, and I can only hope that you'll be there briefly. Tary not there o'erlong, and hurry back. Till then, as always, I stand in mute admiration of your work.

Reading this I felt I was tiptoing through a hushed, private room muffled against the light, charged with wounded, passionate memory.

A soft, acheing but beautiful & intimate coming to terms with one of the most difficult losses in life.

I read this the first time when you posted it in chat. It touched me then. Sitting here and reading it again brought back all of the same feelings.

I know your struggle and I know your loss. I can't tell you that it will ever hurt less, but I can promise you that your heart learns to deal with it better. It's hard sometimes to share pain like this. Thank you for confiding in all of us.

pearls...pearl of a poem!

I live on another continent - away from my parents and this poem hit me hard. I miss my folks, I miss what they mean to me and if I don't spend time with them, now, when they are around - I will not even have recent memories of them to take heart from.

Thank you Gina - for reminding me - some good things / good people cannot come back once they are gone.
