-1
halt there, Heart
who let you out?
you still have time to serve

you are guilty
through and through
you still have time to serve

for foolish whims
and reckless leaps
and tumbles in the night

for giddy words
and crazy dreams
and burning much too bright

who let you out?
who gave you leave?
you are not free to go

back to your cell
behind my ribs
you are not free to go

-2
release me, Head
I will get out
you cannot hold your sway

your laws are cold
and not for me
you cannot hold your sway

a fool can fly
and take great leaps
and safely take a tumble

I speak my dreams
I brave this life
and you may choose to grumble

who would not dare?
who would not seek?
be free and follow me

I’ll take you far
and be your guide
be free and follow me
