Sweet look at the things that are valued upon death. It's less about the deceased and more about the thoughts of the living {even when planning one's own final ceremonies}.

Sweet and Sentimental

To live until my summons comes to join that innumerable caravan...I guess we all spend some time thinking about that.

A marvelous little write ~ something to ponder.

Simple Evocative

Wish I could write poetry.

All I could ever remember was:-

'The rattle of inumerable bolts.' Duno where it's from 'A' level Engish way back. It was near to my heart as a train spotter.

The actual poem is gone forever.

This one however touches a nerve!

Personally, I fear rhyme...done poorly it always feels childish and I have not devoted the craft to it...so I appreciate it all the more when I feel it is done well, as I do here...

This was the first poem I ever read on here that was any good. Great job.
