Let me leave like I was never a part of your life,
Let me fade away like you never met me,
Slowly and Silently,
Let me walk away.

Let there be no regret in our parting,
Let there be no remorse in our hearts,
We were nothing but two cards;
The deck had to be shuffled sooner or later anyway.

Let me look at you one last time,
Let me remember the bed,
Feel the words unsaid,
I remember, anyhow, everything that you say.

And with that I leave like I was never a part of your life,
And with that I pull myself away,
Wishing you the best in my head;
No words come out.

Self-denying and oh so sad!

A rather sad but beautiful end to a relationship, Mournful and melancholic and self-repressing. A poem with a lot of depth.

Robertodavo a.k.a Robert Davidson.
