Come out, little dancer,
Do you want to come and play?
Are you hiding in the cracks
Beneath the soil and clay?

Do not burrow under piles
Of papers on your desk.
Ledgers saying: MUST MUST MUST
Come, let’s have a rest.

Take a moment, spare a breath,
Even just a sigh.
Drums beating: NOW NOW NOW
Can you take a try?

Be here now, be with me,
And hear the silent sound.
Fingers nudging: TAP TAP TAP
You will find your ground.

Come here, child, the world awaits,
It won’t be so hard.
You will be my dancer,
And I will be your bard.

I know you think this silly,
But silliness is fun.
So take just one small step this time,
And you will have the sun.

Thank you @Mayday - I was hoping to let go and just do something fun, albeit a bit elementary. Happy the last line hit the spot!

Thank you @River - Yes! A ditty it is :) Glad you liked the meter, was worried about that!

Thanks @Paul - Giddy that you had fun! And for appreciating the simple playful message!

Playful on the surface, but carries a potent message!

A fun read…lyrical!
