On your toasted body
Crystal dust, glittering
In the creases of your eyes,
The lines, the years drawn permanent.

Let me see you.

Inroads of time,
Riverbeds drawing deeper waters,
I drown,
A finger tip trace.

I memorize you.

Gems crushed
In scar,
In wrinkle,
In story.

Let me hear you,
Again and again.

Quilted songs,
Scores sewn together,
Rising and falling,
Rising and falling,

I taste you.

Bitter
Sour
Sweet
Salt

Thanks @Elorra for finding this short poem beautiful :)

Thanks @Paul, that ‘soulful’ word made my heart squeeze. Really encouraging :)

Thanks @River for the five stars! Really appreciate it!

I love this!

Intimate. Carnal. Tactile. Visual.

Soulful.
