No longer the delicate flower
You once tasted
For the first time,
I am thorn,
I am vine,
Strong as leather.

Beautifully twisted like you,
Blossoming and budding,
Upon crooked stems.
Aged wine deep,
The oak and cinnamon rolls
And slithers against your tongue.

Get drunk on me.

Garnet red liquid
to the touch, to the taste.
Seething,
Pulsing,
Writhing,
For you.

In the darkness,
Within the silence,
I know,
You know,
Our thoughts.
Words are cumbersome things.

I twist with you,
Growing into you,
Entwined,
Selfless
And selfish,
Enraptured.
