Half full water glasses and fat asses,
With their rosy red cheeks
Strewn across these bed sheets
We wait for a fate of a later date
To come along and prove us wrong
The sun and morning will bring
Every goddamn thing

That we're dreading in full
But for now, we push against the pull
Of our displayed skin, laid akin
Of our parts concealed, being revealed
Your fingernails gripping
I feel your insides dripping
Our spirits tied, I slip inside
You close your eyes
And imagine clearer skies
over ocean scapes of the clearest blue
And I'm out of that frame, true
But can I really blame you?

We're face to face now
But I can feel you hide
Inches are miles between us
That's the distance of pride
We're not here, not really
But at least we TRIED
...right?
Guess I'll stay focused on what's in sight.

But for now, we allow
Every inch of the pinch
Of the pain of our ending
Break us clean as we're bending
You pull me from the bed
It's too soft and too calm
I hit the floor as I feel
Your nails dig in my palm
Press me hard to the earth
Just above me you float
One hand holding me down
The other tight on my throat
I can feel all your hate
Weigh me down with a heft
Bucking up me and down me
Taking whatever is left
Of this love that we nurtured
Three years worth of a plan
That'll be finished by morning
When you take off to Japan

I'm sending you east
My resolve is a beast
But you hatefucking me now
I don't regret in the least
How did this place find us
Our own version of death
That all your lips are now hot
From my hips and my breath
Your four lips are a feast
For my eyes, and my tongue
Suck the air from your lungs
In more ways than one...
We finish sublime, for one last time,
Then we're done.

This last ditch effort to hash things out
Was only to destroy any lasting doubt
Instead we found our End, and little more
In the climax of bodies on an apartment floor
