a very nice piece with all the elements of a dark poem in the sublime...nicely don
Reminds me of when my dog Rocky got smooshed right in front of my eyes when I was 7 years old. The guy who hit him was nice enough to stop and carry my dead, bloody dog back to my house...and I followed him, wailing all the way. Poor guy.

Sad but nicely done. I liked the somewhat disjointed form of the poem, it got across the grief and guilt marvelously.
but it brings back sad memories. I think every dog I ever had, or ever got at all close to when I was a kid, died from being run over.
...and very worthy of the memorial. Simple loves remind us that live is worth living, and this poem also reminds us that it is fragile and to be cherished.
Strangely enough, this poem seems so right. It's often said jokingly, "If you ever need a friend buy a dog." But behind all the funny comments ~ A dog is a wonderful affectionate companion. Well Written!
