You seem to love the word "smirked" in fact everything Daniel does is done with a smirk. Daniel smirked warmly, given the meaning of the word I'm not sure how that works. The word smirked is used so many times it has become a distraction. Does Daniel ever have a conversation without smirking! I'm beginning to think not.

What part of Diane's story did Madison not understand? Daniel has a history of being a willing punching bag. He took the beatings, kept his mouth shut, and did exactly what Madison does not want for herself; Daniel remained politely detached from his parents and sibling. How will bloodying Daniel turn out differently in her case? Will Daniel really bother to reclaim her after she tells him in so many words that she's into sport fucking? He knows that already but up to now she hasn't rubbed his face in it. She better have another read of the divorce settlement to she what she's looking at going forward. Maybe she better run the fighting scenario past Mrs. Selene. Mrs. Selene seems to be the only level headed acquaintance Madison has.
