Geography

The nearest mountain to North Carolina that is anywhere near 11,000 feet is probably in Colorado

In a hurry were you?

This isn't a 'story', just a 'notelet'!

Nice quick story but Mt. LeConte is only about 6000 - 6400 feet. Still cold as hell in the winter months.

Research the facts

Mount Le Conte (or LeConte) is a mountain in Sevier County, Tennessee located within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. At 6593 ft. AND it gets cold but not unless it's late fall to early spring on a good year.

Relax....take your time...

Geography aside, a good story needs more descriptive text to be enjoyable. My partner & I (for instance) like to have sex lasting hours. The poster that likened this to a post-it note rather than a story had the right idea. Instead of their 1st encounter lasting a paragraph and folling 2nd & 3rd encounter lasting a sentence, perhaps draw it all out a bit. 0-100 is nice for a car, not so good for sex. ;)

Wrong way Corrigan!

You have managed to place your story on an east coast Mount Le Conte and describe another Mount Leconte in the Sierra Nevada I think that this stretches poetic license just a little too much
