Somewhat darker and a little more sinister than most of my other stories this one has elements of many genres; erotic couplings, interracial, nonconsent/reluctance to name a few, however overall, I think it is more of a romance than anything else.

But given the length of it, the story consists of 6 parts (all written), I decided the best place to put it was in Novels & Novellas.

As always constructive comments and criticism are welcome but please remember it is just a story, like the Marvel films it isn't actually real.

I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 06 - An End and a Beginning...

Strolling in to Samuel's just after midday Rob immediately noticed Samantha, who had clearly done as she said she would and gone home to change. Wearing a rather revealing pair of denim shorts and a halter top she was busy on the far side of the room serving a customer.

Not wanting to disturb her while she was working he headed over to Henry who was already waiting at the bar.

"I see she got Errol to give her her old job back." He said by way of a greeting.

The policeman grinned, "Can't say I blame him. She certainly gives the customers something to look at."

"For that you can buy the first beer." Rob slapped his friend on the shoulder.

They quickly fell into the easy banter of very old friends while watching Samantha as she flirted with all of the customers, occasionally avoiding the odd grope from someone who had a little too much to drink.

"Don't you get jealous?" Henry asked after she politely but firmly removed yet another wandering hand off of her bottom.

"Nope. She knows what she's doing and anyway she's coming home to me."

"You're a lucky bugger. I hope you appreciate it."

"Any more on Valentine?" Rob asked, changing the subject as Sam came across to join them, taking her regular break.

Henry frowned and shrugged his shoulders, "Not a lot really. He's in court for his bail hearing tomorrow. That's about all I can tell you for now."

"So, he'll definitely be out tomorrow?" Sam looked worried at the policeman's news.

"Quite possibly but only on bail. Any sort of reoffending and he'll be straight back behind bars." Henry tried to sound reassuring but failed miserably.

"Then there's no guarantee that he won't come looking for me?" She continued to press him, "Once he's free."

"It's unlikely but no, there are no guarantees." He reluctantly agreed with her.

Sighing despairingly Samantha kissed Rob on the cheek, "I better get back to work. I'll see you later."

"Don't forget about making that statement." The policeman called after her as she walked away.

"I won't." Sam called back before making her way across to a couple of new customers who had just come in.

The two friends stayed for another hour catching up and having a couple more beers before Rob headed back to the boat to wait for his girlfriend.

"Rob."

It was just after ten o'clock when Samantha stepped down into the small galley to find him sitting with a coffee.

"How was it? Was Errol ok."

"Yeah it was great and Errol was fine about taking me back..." She sighed dropping onto the bench seat next to him, "...but I forgot how much it makes your feet ache."

"Drink?" He lifted his mug in invitation.

"Please." She smiled and looked at him thoughtfully.

"What?"

"I know you saw it but you didn't say anything about me getting my bottom groped at lunchtime."

"I err... I... well I...." Blushing Rob struggled to answer.

Getting up she slid her arms around his neck, "It turned you on didn't it?"

"I...."

Samantha giggled and kissed him, "I don't mind. In fact, I kind of like it."

"Did it happen... again... any more..."

Dropping one hand down to his crotch she squeezed the very obvious bulge that had appeared.

"Yes it did, a few times."

"Oh fuck." He groaned softly and pulled her against him, kissing her passionately.

"Forget the coffee and just take me to bed." Sam gasped when their mouths finally separated.

"Your wish is my command your ladyship." He snickered as he pulled her up and led her towards the bedroom.

For the second morning in a row Rob woke up to find himself spooned against his girlfriend, his arm wrapped around her with his morning wood nestling between her pert round buttocks.

Not wanting to disturb her he lay there listening to her breathing for a while, just enjoying the feel of her body against his, until eventually the pressure on his bladder forced him to move.

He was just pouring out two mugs of coffee when she crept up behind him, wrapping her arms around him, "I missed you."

Going up on tiptoe she kissed the back of his neck, "I hoped you'd be there when I woke up."

Sorry, needed the head. Coffee?"

"Please."

"Can I ask you something Rob?" She continued a little apprehensively when they sat down at the small galley table.

"Sure, anything."

"Did you mean it when you said seeing me with.... with Andy and then yesterday, having my bum groped while I was waiting tables, turned you on?"

His cheeks coloured and he dropped his gaze, staring into his coffee cup, clearly a little embarrassed as he considered his answer for a moment.

"Yeah, it did a little bit." He mumbled quietly.

"Weren't you jealous?"

Raising his eyes to meet hers he blushed even redder, "Yeah I was, especially when Andy was.... you know... fucking you. Then I thought I had lost you forever."

"But you weren't last night?"

"Yes and no. I knew it was nothing serious and you weren't going to be having sex with them or anything." Rob shook his head, "And besides we're together now and you were coming home to me."

"Correct answer." Sam smiled, "A little bit of flirting helps with the tips."

"I'm sure you did a lot more working in a strip club."

Now it was her turn to blush, "But what if I had been? Would that have made a difference to you?"

"Why the inquisition? Are you intending to go back to being a...."

Realising what he was about to say Rob stopped.

"A whore." Sam said stonily, "That's was what you were going to say, wasn't it? A whore."

"I'm sorry I didn't...."

"It's the truth, why deny it."

"But I still shouldn't have said it." Rob continued trying to make amends.

"You didn't answer my question." She dragged the conversation back to where it had been, "Would it have made a difference."

"About the men in the bar. Yes and no. I won't say I wouldn't have been jealous or that it wouldn't have turned me on as well but that doesn't mean I want you to do it."

"It's the truth though isn't it? I'm a whore. I'm not going to pretend that I never did it or that I didn't enjoy some of it." Samantha continued speaking plainly, "I've used my body to earn money pretty much since I left university let's be honest."

Rob pulled her onto his lap, kissing her as he slid his hand up between her legs to trace a finger along the gusset of her shorts, "Let's go back to bed."

Thirty minutes and two orgasms later Sam put on the coffee maker for the second time while her boyfriend headed for the shower.

"I'm not in work until 4. What do you want to do?" She called out to him.

"Don't mind babe. I need to provision the boat I have a hire booked in for Wednesday."

"Anyone good?"

He emerged from the tiny shower rubbing his hair dry, another towel wrapped around his waist. As always she felt her stomach flutter at the sight of him, his muscled abs and tanned body sending an electric pulse straight between her thighs.

"Not really just a couple of guys wanting to go fishing." He told her reaching for the drink she had made him, "I... err.... I turned down the other call."

His last sentence made her jerk round, "Can you afford to turn away business. I thought things were pretty tight."

Rob shrugged, "They are but I didn't want to do this one."

"Oh, any particular reason."

"I err... I... umm just didn't." Avoiding her questioning look he busied himself doing nothing and stammered.

"Come on there must be a reason. If things are that bad surely you need all the work you can get."

He turned back to face her and sighed, "It was a couple if you must know. They said they had been referred to me by Marvin and Sonia."

"The ones you told me about?" Sam's eyes went wide as she realised who he was talking about, "The swingers?"

"Yeah those ones."

Samantha sat down hard and stared at him, "But you turned them down?"

"Would you have wanted me to accept the charter?"

Turning it over in her mind she paused for several seconds before answering.

"You said you would have been ok about me doing it if I had gone with one of the guys trying it on in the bar but I'm not sure if you were to.... you know."

"I said I'd accept it because I love you. Not that I would necessarily enjoy it."

"I love you too Rob but I'm not sure I could even cope with you looking at another woman let alone having sex with her."

"That's what I thought." He grinned, "So I turned them down."

"I know it's hypocritical of me but if you really need the money."

"No, it's not, it's a perfectly normal human reaction." His smile got bigger and he winked at her.

"Pig. Stop teasing me." She laughed ending the conversation.

Getting up Sam took her turn in the shower, drying herself and getting dressed. After that the pair of them drove up into town to have lunch and buy provisions before Samantha went to work.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Standing on the quayside on the Wednesday afternoon dressed in just her flip-flops, a bikini top and a pair of tight denim shorts, Sam enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her face as she waited for Rob to return.
Watching the Pegasus IIl in the distance as it motored slowly towards the harbour entrance she wondered if this charter had been any more successful than the last few her boyfriend had taken out.
Aware that things weren't looking good for him she knew the business hadn't been doing particularly well before she arrived on the island. But ever since she had become part of Rob's life, involving him in the disaster that was hers, it seemed to have been struggling even more and she couldn't help but think it was her fault.
Certainly, turning down bookings wasn't going to help.
'Perhaps he should have taken the swinger couple who had wanted to hire him.'
'Could she accept him fucking someone else?'
His waving distracted her from her thoughts for a moment and she moved closer to the edge ready to take up the mooring lines when the motor cruiser came alongside the jetty.
Looking at the vessel she could see the two men who had charted the Pegasus for their sea fishing trip standing at the stern. They were too far away to tell if they were happy or not and she hoped that they had enjoyed their trip.
Gazing out at Rob as he manoeuvred the Pegasus towards her berth she couldn't help but shiver with delight, her heart thumping against her ribcage as it always did when she was close to him. The fact that she was with him after everything that had happened to her was still a source of amazement to her.
Since quitting her role as one of Valentine D'Souza's girls she had expected him to come after her but now, even after he had been given bail, she had still not had another message from him.
That in itself was a worry for her.
Henry had told her about the pimp's arrest for arranging to have the boyfriend of one of his girls beaten up when he tried to persuade her to go freelance. Added to that there had been a few other occasions that had never gone to trial for one reason or another. It had been easy to see from what he said that Valentine was not a forgiving man and would at some point want his retribution for her walking out on him.
"Hey." Rob's shout from the boat brought her back from her worries and she waved at him.
However, as he guided the Pegasus closer to the quay her mood darkened and her heart sank, she could see from the expression on his face that things hadn't gone well.
"Ready to take up your line." She called as he put the boat into reverse momentarily, before killing the engine and stopping dead in the water.
Jumping down onto the deck Rob threw the fore line ashore first for Sam to wrap the hawser around the bollard before they did the same for the aft rope. Then once the boat was properly secured, he ran out the short gangway for the two passengers to step ashore.
"Did you have a good trip gentlemen?" Sam asked cheerily as they stepped onto the quay.
The first of them looked at her scantily clad body and leered, "It would have been a lot better if you had been aboard sweetheart."
His friend behind him laughed, "Yeah, I wouldn't have minded not catching much then."
Smiling pleasantly at them she didn't respond as they passed her by, unable to help her boyfriend's current financial predicament, yet feeling deep down that she was somehow the cause of it.
"Now if she was serving the beers the trip would have been worth what we paid." Sam couldn't help but overhear the next comment one of them made as they walked away.
"A bit of topless sunbathing would have been nice too."
The first one gave a dirty laugh as he replied, "I'd have paid double for that."
Ignoring the two men she boarded the Pegasus, thinking about what they had said, and went down below to find Rob.
"How was it?"
She already knew what his answer would be but she still asked.
"Bloody awful. They only caught a couple of fish; they moaned about everything and hated the food." Rob sighed resignedly, "At this rate I'm going to have to sell the boat."
"Sit down and we'll have a coffee before we start clearing up. I have an idea." Sam suggested, her stomach tightening as she thought about what she was going to say.
"Ok what is it?" He asked placing two cups on the table in front of her a couple of minutes later.
Taking a deep breath Sam started, "It was something those guys said when they came ashore."
"Go on."
"I overheard them saying that it would have been a much better trip if I had been serving them drinks." She deliberately left out the topless sunbathing comment.
Watching his expression, she paused to judge his reaction.
"Well, I can't disagree with that." He chuckled, "It would have made it a lot more fun for me to."
"But don't you get it. They said they would have paid double if I'd been topless and not been worried about the fishing."
Rob sat for a moment and considered what she had just told him.
"Right. Even if I agreed to it just how would we market that?"
Sam smiled, happy that he was at least considering it, "That's easy. We make up a leaflet and then when we get an enquiry from an all-male group we offer them an adult alternative, at an extra cost of course."
He looked at her pensively, "What sort of options are you talking about here?"
"Having a hostess serving drinks, cooking lunch and basically looking after them." She fiddled with her hair as she said it, "Maybe even topless but at double the cost."
"Hmmm....." He didn't answer immediately, clearly unsure about what she had proposed.
"Rob, this is nothing. I was a stripper for two years taking everything off. This would just be topless. No different to being on the beach."
"Ok.... I guess it might work." He frowned and continued to ponder his answer for a moment, before adding, "But what if they want more than just a show?"
Samantha bit her lower lip and looked at her boyfriend thoughtfully as she paused, taking a mouthful of her coffee.
"You said you found watching me with Andy arousing, didn't you? And you like it when I'm working the bar and someone's hands wander."
"Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" He put his cup down on the table.
She took hold of his hand, "It's a possibility that's all. Not something we have to do."
But you would... do it?"
"I've already thought about going back to working freelance as an escort if it helps save the business." Sam didn't look him in the eye as she told him what she had been considering.
Taking a sip from his mug Rob looked at his girlfriend, his emotions in turmoil as he contemplated what she was saying. The idea of her sleeping with other men, even if it was for money, made him extremely jealous although at the same time it also aroused him.
"I'd do it for you, but only if you want me to." She said after a minute or two of silence between them.
Almost immediately he shook his head, "No Sam. Playing hostess is fine. Maybe even doing it topless but that's as far as it goes."
Letting out a breath she relaxed, part of her relieved at his answer, part of her not.
"And there's the issue of Valentine? He'd certainly have something to say about it if you went back to.... you know, it?" Rob stated firmly making his concerns known to her, "I know he's been quiet but that would be like throwing it back in his face."
"We haven't heard anything from him yet. Perhaps he's not going to do anything." She said hopefully.
"Unlikely. He may be waiting for something but I'm certain he won't let it go."
Listening to him Sam realised that the problem of Valentine D'Souza wasn't going to simply disappear and at some point in the future he was going to come back into her life.
"I... I know. I just hoped..." She didn't finish her sentence as she started to cry.
Pulling her against him Rob held her as she wept quietly, gently stroking her hair.
"It'll be ok. We'll sort it out."
"I know I just hate this waiting for something to happen." Wiping her eyes, she gave him a brief smile.
"I need to restock the galley and clean up." Rod stated looking around them.
"Let's do it tomorrow. You can clean up and I can get the groceries when I go to the police station to make my statement. But right now, I want you in bed."
"Deal." Rob grinned and kissed her.
"Anybody aboard?"
A deep male voice with an American accent called from the quayside interrupting them.
"Are we expecting anyone?" Sam looked inquisitively at Rob.
He shrugged and shook his head before getting up and poking his head out of the hatchway, "Yeah, what can we do for you?"
The American was in his late forties or early fifties, decidedly overweight and perspiring freely he looked a little out of place wearing a loud Hawaiian shirt and rather baggy shorts.
"Hi, names Al Hirsch." Without waiting to be invited he climbed down onto the deck and offered his hand, "Looking to charter a boat for a day's fishing tomorrow."
"I'm Rob and this is Samantha. Come on through and we can talk." Rob shook his hand and did the introductions as Sam made the newcomer a coffee.
"So, who's the charter for?" Putting a mug in front of him she enquired as she sat down next to Rob.
For the next few minutes Al Hirsch explained to them his business and his requirements as the pair listened attentively.
Basically, he worked primarily in the States acting as an agent for anyone, either corporate or personal, who might be looking to invest in Saint Martin and its neighbouring islands in some way. Whether it be buying a property, setting up a business or just organising something he was the man to go to.
On this particular occasion he informed them that he was looking to entertain a couple of potential business clients who were thinking of building another hotel on the island.
"We have the perfect package for three discerning gentlemen." Sam quickly interjected, glancing sideways at her boyfriend, before he could say anything.
"Really? Just what would that be?" The businessman wanted to know.
"Well putting it simply, you gentlemen take care of the fishing and Rob here drives the boat while I will be your hostess for the day, looking after drinks, cooking lunch and generally taking care of you." She explained carefully.
