Roger is indeed an asshole. Felt sorry for Alice especially. But also for Jim and Flo. Flo clearly disrespected her husband, thinking it was fun and a joke but bring led down Roger's primrose path of seduction. Jim certainly retaliated over the top. Showing his desire to destroy both marriages. Guess it was the only way for Flo to know the pain she caused and to see herself as player a major role on the "cuckold" torture of her loving husband. After their last joke, he came to hate her, at least sometimes. Sad they could never fully reconcile. To.outside appearances it seemed they did, but he always had the scars and she always was reminded of her painful betrayal and his outsized retribution. Pretty ghastly payback despite much of it being a deception or recoverable (except the head scarring, yikes!). They almost certainly needed therapy both personal and joint counseling. They both really fucked up though she certainly lit the match. Roger is an asshole of.massive proportions. Glad Alice escaped him. Still confused why a wife of 23 years woukd cross that final line for a laugh. Huge disrespect. But yeah instead of therapy and full reconciliation, we get a semi-reconciliation and a bunch of threesomea with Alice. Odd ending.

You’re too good a writer for such a stupid ending. He’s going to live with her after everything she did? And she did it repeatedly, knowingly. There wouldn’t have been any way he would have taken her back!! Disappointing…

Dumbass story. Once you go this far there is only way to go..... Whoever/however took Jim down and then tortured him, I expected his next words to be. "Nope this is it Roger is gonna kill me with your help. I won't be around to see if you three get away with it." When they protest, he says, 'It's simple. I die or he does, now. Go ahead, you've taken it this far ." And they do..

That shows you how far you wrote yourself into a corner. This ending was just stupid.

To the author. I liked this. Thank you for your version. It worked for me. To the commenters. You are all entitled to like or not like this and any other story. Some of you obviously never had your mum impart a great piece of wisdom to you which is " If you can't say something nice then say nothing at all" Try thinking about that before typing 😉

Ridiculous, with a capital R. Ranting also starts with an R. At the lemonade joke, I would have false laughter, walking over as if all was OK. I would have walked up to Roger and cold cocked him with everything I had. He would have gone down. Then my laughter would have been genuine.

The commenter who noted these sequels were from the archives of Saddletramp got it exactly right. Way, WAY over the opt, but so very humorous and perhaps a bit poignant. But I can't believe the two protagonists would get back together after all that. I don't buy it that someone like the wife Flo who did that could ever reform sufficiently to restore trusted intimacy. Spousal disrespect was somehow in her emotional DNA. The husband would have been better off to seek therapy than move back in with such a twisted (ex)wife. Speaking of confused!

Pleased to see that you back pedalled on your anon bashing at the end of the story. We're not all trolls, you know. I enjoyed your work immensely and heartily approved of the happy ending.

From a story where the husband waits too long to confront his wife & neighbors about their hurtful (among a vast of other things) practical joking to him accepting her back after he's hospitalized overnight from that & one more time at a BBQ, hubby then goes overboard in his "joking" payback.

To the friend that not only doesn't stop but increases the humiliation, he should've just washed his hands of the friendship. Filed, as suggested he does, charges against the neighbor for at least unlawful restraint. To the wife who kept apologizing & continuing, including what sounded very much as adultery, she's served with the divorce papers, as well as being an accessory to the neighbor's restraining him.

As the result, this last part mostly wouldn't have been written (which I'd not shed any tears) or written much differently. The neighbor's payback as described wouldn't have been done. Most puzzling, the spineless wimp of a husband not only takes his wife back, but befriends the asshole neighbor. And for that, & this 2 part story, I give a tremendous 1 star. Sorry I took the time to read it. Most times, cutting people out of your life, & here serving them with jail time, then moving on is the best punishment Bob

One last word I failed to write prior to posting: my view of liking this with Saddletramp's work is a stretch, to say the least, downgrading his work- more to my thinking. Saddletramp's burning had reason, thought, & logical purpose. The treatment here to an extent might've been, but for the most part, was like burning down the house to treat an insect family just to build it back up & invite the insects to return. My opinion. Bob

4 Stars as I thought everyone was guilty except for the husband . I also thought he went over board on the revenge part . I would have divorced her ass and moved on down the road . Life is way to short to have a wife who always takes her lovers side.

Lmao this author really seemed like he held a personal grudge on him. He got the short end of the stick. Mc came out stealing his wife and got his wife back. He did Roger dirty but this was all about doing him dirty so can't complain
