Brilliant story, very clever with fantastic attention to detail. I must admit to more than a healthy dose of envy for the lady in your story! I doubt I’m alone in that wistful thinking. So much better than all those wham bam stories. So obvs that’s 5 stars from me. 😎

This came from a writing prompt in which I'd asked for inspirations; the challenge here was to include "Persian rug, cinnamon, calf-leather and a silk caftan" in a single story.

I didn't manage to get them all but it was close and I was happy enough with the outcome :)
