Interesting tale, but hard to believe.......

As mentioned by other commenters, he didn't threaten his wife, so his wife had no standing to claim damages from her husband. On what basis could she get an order denying him access to their home? Still an fun tale, with a decent ending. Only the attorneys won in this situation! 3 Stars.

Creative story Mr. S.

Good job. Know something? I used to hate the Burn the Bitch dumb asses. Now I've changed my mind. If I were writing these stories I would do it just to see how people react. I used to hate the rabid feminists. Now, after seeing the comments of these idiotic men, I am starting to see the feminists point. Lots of men really are brutes. That doesn't bother me as much as their stupidity does.

Almost

I get the idea that friends can have a bad influence on a spouse, but that did not really seem to be the case here. Carol did not have the right to allow her friend to use the family house for cheating without consulting with her husband. She was the cause of the problem and never really took ownership of it. She should have completely disavowed her shitty "friend" and done whatever her husband asked to make things right. Instead she thought she had a right to be treated as if she wasn't apart of the misdeed of her friend - wrong. She facilitated it. If my wife pulled something like that I'd have to ask "why?" Why would she do that? Perhaps she was returning a similar favor? That is the first, most obvious thought. Second, was it for future consideration of such a favor for herself? She helped undermined her friends marriage and also her own. It was up to her to straighten it out. Instead, she attacked. My answer to that: Oh yeah?! Well fuck you too! You want to fight, then feel the pain! That is the only way to deal with scum.

So she helped a friend cheat, he didn't like it told her to fuck off and she tried to throw him under the buss, then got legal advice from a guy she started dating while still married..... and the lawyer has the balls to tell him that he's screwed........ sorry theres no reconciliation there, there is only lay down the warpath on the bitch who thinks its ok to cheat. Oh yeah and remove the career of her new boyfriend first (legal advice from someone your fucking, yeah that's a review board if I ever heard one, along with a return of the alienation of affection suit, along with harassment by his buddy on her and her lawyer friend, oh yes this one should have ended up with the bitch being bulldozed)

Conflict of interest?

Not a bad story; but let's cut this to the core, what did her husband do wrong? Who did he sleep with? In this case, reconciliation is a fool's game. Not only did she refuse to accept her culpability, she initiated her own divorce case that is directly tied to another divorce for adultry with her assistance. Add to that, she's a vindictive, money-grubbing bitch who's sleeping with her lawyer. Does anyone see a problem here? I'll trade a another man's fishy pussy for a good heart any day. F--- the skank.

great story

what is with the comments .. she cheated.. of course she did not cheat.. Her shame, she allowed the adultery of a friend or friends, to enter her home. She did not have to cheat to ruin a marriage, in real life, both could have been sued for the alienation of affection if a cheated spouse was so inclined. The best part is the costly punishment, and the belief she was dating again. That was priceless, costly with attorney fees, etc. I wonder, would she have signed the papers if he just slide away? I would like to think NO. But I liked the ending anyways.

That's Life

I think you wrote a very good story about life. We all do things that we wish we hadn't after the fall out. Some can say I "Messed up" others can't even though they know they did. Let us not forget she (Carol) was having her own issues with her hormones etc. I do believe we are at fault sometimes, I believe an "I'm sorry", even if you are right, can cure a lot of problems. I believe this was a great "life lesson" story !

Good to very good story.

Is this the same Carol we "saw" at the beginning of Ch. 01? I assume Vicki planted the false info re Carol dating. That would have caused some husbands to press ahead with the divorce.

I thought Slirpuff (one of my favorite authors) was a better writer. This story had way too many errors.

Nice!

I love a happy ending.

I do feel that Carol went WAY overboard in her divorce petition. He never did anything to deserve getting raped in the divorce.

AnonymousAnonymousover 9 years ago
I like your writing. I HATED this ending.

He should have stuck it to her. A good attorney gets the restraining order squashed. Sue her workplace for allowing her to have an affair with a man in her office. Strip out your 401k and quit your job. Cancel the credit cards, remove your name from all the utilities and find a job far, far away. The house is a loss but take everything you want from it one day when she's at work. Then just drop the divorce and leave. She can't be trusted. Better yet, get back together, THEN do the the work. Get her to put the house up for sale saying you want a smaller place now that the kids are gone. Then you've got the house money in play. Never let the bitch know what's happening until you leave her high and dry. And just one further note. She had a job, probably with her own 401k. So in the divorce she wants she's only going to get half and the house is going to be sold to satisfy the 50/50 split she's going to get. Terrible ending. It just pissed me off as you can tell. Keep writing - Better endings please.

OverthefallsOverthefallsover 9 years ago
Good story

But implausible. A good attorney gets the restraining order squashed immediately. She has no PROOF that he threatened anyone and that's all the Court cares about, so he's back in the house. Then all he has to do is get a PI to get a few pictures of her dating an attorney from her office and he has her by the short hairs. All his attorney has to do is threaten to sue her firm, she caves and they go forward with a 50-50 split of the assets, the house is sold to met the requirements of the divorce, she gets nothing from his 401k since she's employed and has her own retirement fund. And don't forget he's still got the pictures. That is how the game is played. Good story, illogical ending.

AnonymousAnonymousover 9 years ago
Another crappy, cutesy rushed ending.

She puts him thru living hell for at least 6 months, helps fuck over his friend, then loses patience after 4 months while he processes her bitchy behavior. Again, I'm not saying reconciliation was impossible but Ken is ceding his will and life over to an unbalanced controlling basket case.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 9 years ago
I agree with anon, crappy and cutesy ending.

Women are essentially self absorbed, narcissistic creatures who support their own. Even where their love of children is concerned, it is really powered by the personal feeling of superiority that they gave birth. Slirpuff caters to this self centeredness of women and relegates the male to one with no spine or willpower.

I have never been able to figure out why some men despise manhood.

Thoughts

It seems to me she would need grounds for a restraining order, and a court would have to decide who keeps the house. His threatening the OTHER couple aren’t good grounds, IMHO – he NEVER threatened HER.

And now she IS cheating, because they are still married. So as long as he gets a 50-50 split, give her the fucking divorce. Okay, so she SAYS she lied about sleeping with the attorney - we don't KNOW that she didn't.

Ans as KarenE said, she went WAY overboard in the divorce petition. She could have done a simple 50-50 irreconcilable differences.

good story

a simple solution would be fish bait for wife and her attorney fuck buddy friend. I don't understand why he would want her back at all, unless it was a ploy to lull her in line to dispose of her quietly.

AnonymousAnonymousover 8 years ago
I don't know,

her going after me like that in the divorce would have soured me more than anything. I don't think I could take her back after that.

AnonymousAnonymousover 8 years ago
Oh I don't think so.

When she publicly admits she slept with another man, he has her. By the way, if he's barred from contacting her by any means, direct or indirect, the billboard would have been enough evidence to send him to jail. End of story. But his lawyer should have squashed the restraining order within a week. They have no proof of his threats and in a Court of Law no Judge would grant a restraining order on heresay. So he would have been back in the house. What he should have done was close his 401k account, quit his job, taken her off all his insurances, cancel all their credit cards, taken out an equity loan for the maximum amount possible on their home, taken all the money out of the bank and disappeared. Left her his power of attorney to sell the house and get her 50%. He already had his. And never spoken to the bitch again. This would have worked much better as a BTB story than a reconcilliation story. Maybe do all you have written, get back together, THEN take out the loan, take ALL the money and leave her high and dry. Serve the bitch right.

sbrooks103sbrooks103over 8 years ago
Re-Reading

The attorney who is "advising" her, and that she is "seeing". Isn't that a conflict of interest and a possible ethics violation?

And since SHE walked out, how does she get the house? And as has been said, any decent attorney gets that restraining order squashed.

After everything that has gone before, and what Vicki said about her dating the lawyer, I'm not sure why Ken believed her when she said that she didn't sleep with him after all. She might have written it to hurt him, that doesn't mean it isn't true.

Two stupid people.

It's one thing to cover for a close friend, but there is a very fine line to draw. What Carol did was aiding and abetting, stepping way over that mark, and she was dead wrong.

Vicki was Jims problem and instead of feeling so bad for his friend, Ken needed to be paying more attention to his own marriage.

Carols severe divorce ploy was a means of getting Ken's attention, and it worked. And if it hadn't worked, well divorce was always going to be on the cards, right.

Carols hormones were out of balance, neither of them realised but both of them attacked each other instead of working at the problem ..... two selfish, stupid people.

AnonymousAnonymousover 7 years ago
Conniving And Carolinian Concatenation

Carol not only got her friend pumped up with some thick manmeat, she very likely got a piece of it herself. Others have mentioned that her attack-bitch divorce play was evidence enough of her unsuitability for the marriage and one tends to agree with that.

But another huge strike against Carol is insulting her very own husband's penis. That's a stone cold cut to a man and clear evidence of disrespect. Though it was, admittedly, a retort to the husband's own threat about his plan to get sex outside of the marriage if she didn't thaw her pussy out.

Oh ffs, they really are the both of them a piece of work.

But Hubby here dwells much too long on his wife's part in the illicit sexcapade of her friend. Just because your wife has been unthinking doesn't mean you can't keep her in the loop. His own jilted friend - the very victim of Carol's heartless conniving - forgives her before her own hubby does. He clearly states that Vicki would have cheated one way or the other anyway. So, Hubby fucked up with all of his moping for sure...

Still, the possibility lingers that Carol's own standoffishness toward her husband was related to a possible act of infidelity on her own....

Yes, the defining characteristic of these Slirp stories is that the characters are ALL pretty damn flawed. Harddaysknight said it: one feels frustrated and unsatisfied by some of these Slirp stories. On the other hand, he writes palpable emotion into these situations. For that he gets high marks from this commenter.

Still, I like my Bitches crispy now and again!!

First this story is much about nothing I.M.O,so she covered for her friend : big deal,it's called being loyal,if Ken would have done the same he would be a hero because bro's go before hoe's,right ?

You btb guys are so pathetic, you go even so far as to change the story by accusing Carol of infidelity,by no means is this even mentioned in the story

Agreed she should have told her husband but is that a reason for all the drama? there were better ways

Secondly Ken should put his wife first before his friend and minding his own marriage,Jim should be able to take care of his wife's adultery and take her to court or counseling, his choice

Covering for friend's affair and providing bed is deceiving husband. Not sure how many men would agree with your brob4ho. For one-wife would go ballistic.

Strange that Carol would run to work buddy to talk about marriage problems while refusing to talk to husband. To start dating that guy immediately after moving out suggests long term emotional affair. Could overlook conversations is they were with female friend. Searching out an all too eager male friend to discuss intimate details of marital problems is clear sign much more has been going on and for a long time. Months before the blow up.

Anyone is does not recognize that fact is at heart a hater of men

Wonderful ending, loved it...

Oddly enough, I really liked the ending - much more than I liked the Ken and Carol characters. For me anyway, this is their marriage, neither cheated, both are stubborn - so if they're happy getting back together - who am I to judge? I hope it works out for them. And I thought the billboard idea was very clever. LOL.

The other players, Vicki and Jim, need to go cry in their beer and leave everyone else alone. You help your friends until they start hurting you or your family - and if they don't care, they're not really your friends - it's up to you to cut 'em loose. Family comes first. Always. Great story. Loved it!

viewing Carol as he described her at the story's beginning, as he was talking to Jim. But that story was a lie, to convince Jim to give Vicki a chance to explain. So, how much if any of the story about Carol was the truth? How much connived? All we really know is they had an argument about renting a room out in their house. troll bait

This story is successful in its own measure by being so asinine that everybody takes a side. The thing is, there no right side to take. So the drama is endless. And the first chapter was also loaded, full of impossible grammatical errors it could only have been contrived for grief.

So Ken begged his wife to return because she kicked him out of the house using a method that violates his right to due process and then had him by the financial balls and threatened them with a rusty razor. That would piss me off a lot, and the only reason I would try to ameliorate the situation would be to put myself in a better position before leaving.

Is begging because of financial ruin a wimp or strong action? It's certainly self preserving, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the cost is high. Nobody here seems to have learned anything, which I think comes down to literarary laziness or inexperience...but I'm throwing my penny in the laziness well. This isn't a story that can handle nobody learning anything useful.

Desperately needs a chapter 3

This is crying out for a chapter 3, where he spends the next few months systematically stripping the marital assets to offshore accounts, then divorces the slut on his own terms.

1) She obviously has no moral issues with infidelity after offering up her house as a fuckpad to her cheating friend.

2) She was clearly banging the lawyer and lied to the husband in the text.

3) She still didn't think she did anything wrong, after wrecking the husband's friendship with his friend and helping to ruin Jimmy's marriage.

Any future marriage with a wife like that is doomed to end up with more cheating from her and a divorce in the future. He should have listened to the radio listeners and got the station to line him up a hot replacement.

Nth time through

Loved this ending. The critics should understand that in any piece of fiction, you take the author’s word at face value, unless it’s a mystery or absurdist Work. She said she lied about screwing the lawyer to make him mad. Why would anyone question that in such a short piece? What clue gives you that idea? Did she not have the dress and shoes that were supposedly burned? Isn’t that the clue that she was playing a charade and trying to get him to wake up? I actually think the severity of her demands and the restraining order were an attempt to get him to do something drastic. And where do they get the notion that she had no qualms about infidelity? She immediately expressed remorse and indicated that she felt pressure to allow it. The problem is he never gave her an opportunity to talk. This was a sweet tale. Five stars.

They say love is blind. It certainly was in Ken's case.He should never have taken the scheming bitch back. She soon jumped in to bed with some one after she left him, which was probably what she had planned all .along

X.X

Chapter 1 got a 4.

Chapter 2 got a 1

This sadly to say was a 180 in character behavior from Chapter 1.

Not sure what the author was going for but it missed.

I think this is pretty confusing story

Generally I understand the idea but it is hard to figure out why would such an indiscretion create so much problems for the marriage. I think you could have done a little work explaining it. Not bad though.

Fuck that!

Counter suit for divorce. Make it mental cruelty. Get her out of that house. And since the threat of violence was not directed at her, but at, as far as he knew, uninvited invaders of his home he had every right to threaten them. A man’s home is his castle, and all that, so restraining order not pertainent and should be rescinded. Divorce the bitch, but make it her fault. She started it. His lawyer should he canned.

No other comments, just One Star.

Fuck no...

So much wrong. Threatened 2 uninvited people in your house yields a restraining order?

Wife is a bitch of the highest order. Allow the divorce to go through.

Then acts of violence visited on both Vicki and Carol.

Why. Why. Why would you want that cunt back?

she

was a horribly vindictive bitch

she didn't TRY at the marriage...ever.

he did!!!

and he simply stopped trying after her stupid stunt, which I never remember her really apologizing for! then she coldly dates other men, bars him from his own house, restraining order, high alimony. I would choke that bitch dead in his shoes. She's purely selfish and evil. she abused the court systems to PUNISH him for literally nothing.

she doesn't deserve sex, she deserves a reason for that restraining order. Ugh. I have no sympathy for her. I did at first.

Just a thought

Was this another MM collaboration?

Why

Why would he go back to her after the way she treated him, including shagging another guy. They say love is blind but this guy needs a guide dog, what a wimp, taking back used goods.

A fucking RAAC.

He has her nailed to the wall. No Court is going to accept another man in an alienation of affection suit. In fact no State in the Union accepts alienation of affection anymore. When she admits on the billboard that she's dating a lawyer in her office, set his attorneys free. What do the CC and R's in her office say about interoffice romance? His lawyers can make her look awful. Get the restraining order squashed and move back in. No Judge is going to enforce a restraining order when he threatened two strangers fucking in his house. Then take out a second mortgage on the house. Close out all the credit cards. She's already changed her cell phone so she's paying for that. Cancel all the utilities. Take that money, quit his job, take all his 401k money out and pay the penalty and move either across the country or out of the country and let her sink in her own stink. Not only will she get nothing from him, she'll lose the house because she can't afford the payment on her own. That's how you treat a bitch. This ending was just awful.

What a great way to decimate a good story. What a load of crap.

Wrong, just plain wrong

This story is wrong on so many levels it hurts. One she basically cut him off, claiming hormones. Two, she obviously approved of cheating, by helping her friend cheat. Three, she ridiculed him about his sex life, obviously comparing him to some one else. She showed no respect to him, found cheating to be ok, and her hormones where ok, when she was screwing other people. How anyone could try and get her back is just wrong. Why would anyone want to go back to that kind of hell is beyond me. Its not a sad story, its a sad sack story.

Forgot to add — get Carol’s lawyer shit-canned.

She was “dating” the lawyer working in her office while she was still married. Even IF there was no morals clause within their office that wasn’t enforced, the lawyer (her lawyer) was dating the client (Carol) and giving intimate legal advice. A very quick google search says that in most states that’s “highly discouraged”, if not out right ruled a “disbar-able” (my word) action. The lawyer clearly had a conflicting interest in the case. Rape both sets of lawyers financially. And kick Carol... well, I don’t know what to do about Carol. He obviously still loves her.

The Billboards

were unique and clever. Momma taught us if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all... So I won't. Signed: BTW

That's a clever trick

Quite a good story. 4 stars, could have been 5 stars but for the unforgivable lapse in continuity six paragraphs from the end. I quote, "Carol was sitting by the fire; wine in hand wearing the black dress and shoes I'd purchase for her, the day my nightmare started." Really ? What happened to her burning them in the fireplace ?

Still, apart from that not a bad read...

Good Story

I’m not generally real big on reconciliation stories here in “Loving Wives”, but sometimes if it’s written the right way it works for me. I won’t beat it to death with the why’s and wherefores, but I enjoyed this chapter much more than I did the first chapter.
