So far, this is a very fun story, and I mean fun as high praise. So many writers take themselves too seriously, and others go past silly into eye-rolling cringe, but thus far this has hit the happy zone quite nicely. I especially like the line "I'm very happy with my non-genocidal ancient AI friend"; couldn't we all use more non-genocidal friends?
