Love the series.. just curious as to why he doesn't use his mind control powers to make all the women OK with each other and his family

Story is getting monotonous. Hopefully it can be bought back to life. As others have said what are these powers he doesn’t use? Will he learn there’s another hole he could use? What’s the point of it all?
