Introduce a new predator species into an alien ecology? What a novel concept! Such as the Ancient Siberians and their dogs into the America's. Sorry about the loss of all that megafauna.

After the introduction of gunpowder. How many Bison are left? how many Grizzlies? Between pigs and rats, we probably will never know how many species of island fauna are now gone. And now we are devastating the Oceans.

Looks to me that the aliens are in danger of being as addicted to humans as much as humans are to the alien. Perhaps a crossbred hybrid would be possible, to combine the best, most long term survival characteristics of both species?
