I don’t know. First person from Rhys’ perspective is normal. Switching to first person from the girls perspective was difficult to follow. Using italics for Bob is perfect to distinguish what it says.

You need to check your math here:

That should be 8 times the kinetic energy. Twice the mass times twice the velocity squared.
